I stand in strong solidarity with Mills College staff who are striking against the union-busting tactics of Northeastern University who recently acquired the campus. Our educators and students deserve better and this entire shady deal gets more and more suspicious.

Mills is a 170-year-old institution and its sudden purchase and rezoning along with these union busting tactics are concerning. We need transparency and an investigation like the council unanimously voted to ask for a few months ago. issuu.com/postnewsgroup/…

@MrMadbrain Open Sound Control is a very loosely specified protocol, so the answer depends a lot on what you're sending it to. You can read more about the specification at opensoundcontrol.stanford.edu , but the answer is really going to depend on the receiver.

Computer music nerds know that OSC - Open Sound Control, the 21st century successor to MIDI - was invented at UC Berkeley in 2002. This was influenced by an earlier UDP-based protocol invented by Chris Brown of Mills College in 1997. Mills is at the forefront of music development
