Bots are not “an excuse”, they are a reality that Twitter users like me deal with every day. If advertisers think they’ve been paying to advertise to humans, but instead they’ve been advertising to robots… that’s going to materially impact the advertising business adversely.

@wholemars @hikingskiing Again you’re thinking about it from a supply standpoint. Think of demand for miles. Why would it increase more than gdp growth? If a person wants to go to Home Depot, today they drive their own car; in 5 years, they jump in a robotaxi. Demand for miles is the same.

I’ve warned since Day 1 that @elonmusk buying $TWTR was a bad idea, and would be an overhang on $TSLA stock. Since Elon made his $54.20 offer on 4/14, $TSLA -26% vs -13% for NDX, despite blowout TSLA 1Q earnings on 4/20 when $TSLA pulled even with NDX (see graph below).

@wholemars No, it’s dual, high performance terminals, which are important for maintaining the connection in choppy seas & heavy storms. Still obv premium pricing, but way cheaper & faster than alternatives. SpaceX was paying $150k/month for a much worse connection to our ships!
