Coffee has gotten weaker. Used to be that a cup of coffee would energize you like crazy. Back when I first started, the coffee was so high quality that it would almost get you “high.” It felt like a legitimate psychotropic.
Now coffee only gets you to baseline. It changed.

@webdevMason It's the phones, 100% - I nanny and kids want one thing: your attention. Parents already have to work long hours to support their families but adding the attention sucking phone into the mix is worse than television ever was. At least with Tv you could watch it with your kids

@SeekingAnon @ResonanceEnter1 I noticed this too. It felt like my body was trying to make me so upset that I would break down and finally cry. A friend helped me recognize it might be emotions I wasn't taking the time to feel. Now when scenarios start, I get to work on somatically processing the feelings asap

I noticed each scenario is created through a strong emotion in that moment, anger, anxiety, lust and so on.

I’m looking for a good contemporary novel. I’ve been reading a lot of medieval poems & sagas and realized I’d read hardly any recent fiction this year. I love a book that’s a bit cerebral, a bit strange, and tells a solidly plotted story with a minimum of fuss.
