Since last night, first responders and all necessary services have been working wherever needed. As of now, at least 83 people have been confirmed injured since midnight. Tragically, there are fatalities. My condolences to the families and loved ones. It was a heavy attack – 90 missiles of various types, many of them ballistic missiles – 36 in total. There were 600 drones. Unfortunately, not all of the ballistic missiles were intercepted – the largest number of hits was in Kyiv. Kyiv was the primary target of this Russian attack. Putin can’t even pronounce the word “hurrah” clearly anymore – slurs and mumbles – yet he is still vanquishing residential buildings with his missiles. Launched three Russian missiles against a water supply facility. Burned down a market. Damaged dozens of residential buildings. Hit several ordinary schools. Launched his “Oreshnik” against Bila Tserkva. They really are unhinged. It is important that this does not pass without consequences for Russia. Today, everyone in the world who will not stay silent and chooses to help Ukraine is a defender of life. It is critically important to continue working to secure air defense for Ukraine, especially anti-ballistic capabilities. We are doing our best to achieve peace and protect people – everything. It is important that Ukraine is not alone. Decisions are needed – from the United States, from Europe and others – to make that old “Oreshnik” in Moscow finally utter the word “peace.”

I am grateful to the Security Service of Ukraine for striking one of Russia’s important military-industrial enterprises. The distance from our border is 1,700 kilometers – Perm Krai. Metafrax Chemicals is an important part of Russia’s chemical industry. The company’s products supply dozens of other Russian military production facilities, including aircraft and drones, missile engines, and explosives. The production process at the facility has now been halted. This is an important long-range sanction of ours. Thank you!

I thank the heads of the communities in the Rivne, Volyn, and Zhytomyr regions for taking such good care of your people and our state. The main focus of our meeting was security in the northern direction. We must remain strong, so reinforcing our defense, building fortifications, and ensuring our troops are ready for any scenario is a priority. We also discussed support for education and children. There is a clear task for government officials — to ensure free hot meals for all schoolchildren starting from September 1. The issue of building new schools and completing those started before the full-scale invasion will be worked through, especially in communities with high birth rates, along with providing educational institutions with school buses. Road reconstruction remains an important topic. The Government has been instructed to speed up this work. I am grateful to every community for your resilience and for finding solutions to develop and protect your people even in such difficult conditions.

I had a call with @Keir_Starmer, @EmmanuelMacron, and @bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz – the E3–Ukraine format. The main focus was on how to ensure that diplomacy for peace is reinvigorated and that Europe is part of it. All partners note that Ukraine’s position is significantly stronger – both on the battlefield and in our long-range operations. This is significant, and it is precisely this kind of our pressure that can compel a shift toward right and effective diplomacy. We agreed that our national security advisers will meet in the near future. I also briefed the leaders on Russian plans – regarding Ukraine, Belarus, and other directions in Europe. We are tracking everything related to their political and military intentions. Our teams will exchange more detailed available information at the intelligence level. We also discussed communication with the American side. We are doing everything to ensure real peace. Glory to Ukraine!

Con il Consiglio dei Ministri di ieri sera abbiamo adottato misure concrete per sostenere famiglie, imprese e lavoratori in una fase ancora segnata dalle tensioni sui mercati internazionali. Confermiamo il taglio delle accise, proroghiamo il credito d’imposta per l’autotrasporto con una dotazione complessiva di 300 milioni di euro, rafforziamo il sostegno al comparto agricolo e incrementiamo di 80 milioni di euro annui il Fondo nazionale per il trasporto pubblico locale. Abbiamo inoltre approvato interventi importanti per Niscemi, a tutela della sicurezza del territorio e dei cittadini. Continuiamo a intervenire con serietà e concretezza per difendere il potere d’acquisto degli italiani, sostenere il sistema produttivo della Nazione e dare risposte ai territori.
