@Boogie_Snacks Also, folks feel like her apology for liking that leek jabber video was pretty flippant about the whole thing. She puts black characters in her series & uses elements of black culture & people feel like the representation has been good so folks are going to expect better from her

@Boogie_Snacks I also think her deactivating was a long time coming cause the gachiakuta fandom is already been parasocial and weird as hell toward Urana for awhile since she's been one of the few mangaka to be consistently online and interacting with fans and actually shows her face

@koitotwt @ParryingLogic The thing that started all the most recent stuff was I believe her liking a video of some asian guy impersonating(?) a clip of jabber with leaks or some other type of vegetable on his head to look like jabber's locs. And so people starting bringing up past controversies as well

I’m trying so hard to not overhype this, but some our license announcements for @AnimeExpo will literally be crazy! Among them is a classic shojo title from a mangaka whose work has never been printed in English, and an amazing shonen series from a mangaka who hasn’t been published here in over 20 years. I don’t believe it myself, but it’s happening.
