@OMGTheMess HPSEA help service personnel to sell and buy homes as they move. There is no need to rent it. Choosing to is a different thing

This CGT fiasco could be a nightmare for servicemen and women. Those that buy a family home often need to leave it because they are posted to another city. Home is now rented out. Then posted back a few years later. Etc etc

@ValkStrategy @BeaverWestminst Inconveniently for your theory - these were being delivered by the manufacturer. So not yet in the hands of RAF. Why would the manufacturer either not be able to release them or activate such a system (if it even exists)

Washington is planning to tell NATO allies this week that it will shrink the military capabilities available to assist European nations in a major crisis according to a Reuters report. Wow…

@WarMonitor3 Okay. Relax @WarMonitor3 first off, let’s be honest. Up till, like VERY recently, we (the US) have covered just about all of your NATO membership fees and have been the big brother for you. Isn’t it about time yall GROW THE FUCK UP AND START PULLING YOUR OWN WEIGHT?

@UnimportantO Perhaps the sustainment of a predominantly civilian vehicle works save cost. The use of militarised versions could be a goods option to build mass and minimise cost

Noticed in discussions a growing trend in Army circles to consider civilian vehicles for war fighting, which at first glance feels like flexibility and innovative concealment, but given the incidence of blue on blue incidents on recent Ops with good vehicle ID, I’m not convinced.

@UnimportantO @BO3673 That’s great! As a COa bit over 10 years ago with QM we managed to get a lot of stuff fixed in the single Accom/ messes. My own 1/4 was a very different story.

After two years back at Regimental Duty many of the old complaints about the Defence Estate commentators still like to repeat seem to be aging stereotypes rather than widespread experience. Outside of periodic breaks you’d expect in any house, the old complaints are drying up.

Good news on RCH 155mm, not my first choice for various reasons, but its still good. Lets get them into service, build out the logistics and support, training and ammunition stocks/varieties.
