Update from my dealings with @guest_res. Calls and mails sent and was told I couldn’t be refunded any of the money. One tweet and one DM has given me hope that this company do the right thing by their customers. Many thanks to the social media team for resolving my issues.

They will not give me my money back and I have no booking as I had to cancel to request a refund. Book at your own peril. Go DIRECT to the hotel. DO NIT USE.

Be aware that this company @guest_res is a 3rd party and if you make a small mistake they will NOT help in any way. Booked 2 room and put the wrong dates in. Contacted straight away and was told could not get a refund. I could cancel the booking and apply for my money back.

@Avis A very confused customer. I was charged for something I didn’t agree to in South Africa. I’ve complained, I’ve had replies and WhatsApp calls. I’ve been told I will receive a full refund but only using LemFi Is this a scam? Avis SA have also told me I can’t have a refund

@CareUpdate56153 How do I get a refund without using the app LemFi? The agent called me and made me use a password they gave me. I find this very disturbing that I was also asked to put my email, phone number, home address, passport and bank details into an app that the agent has the password for

Anyone using @Avis in South Africa @AvisSouthAfrica be careful that the check-in desk doesn’t add extra coverage that you didn’t agree to. I declined all extra coverage and was asked to sign to accept receipt of the hire car. Arrived home to a £65 charge I never agreed to.

When he asked me to fill in address and phone number then passport or driving licence. The next section was bank details which at this point I declined. Why can’t the credit card I was charged in be used? Very disappointed

@avisclaimhdsk had a call from Patrick to refund a miss sold policy. Started off great. Then was asked to down load an app Lemfi which I’ve never heard of. Patrick asked me to fill register and he game me a password to set the account up. The arm bells started ringing
