CONSUME CULTURE was a fully public and free interactive event which asked collectors to burn any NFT from their wallet within an 8 hour window and in return receive this piece of animated art I created. The funny (and somewhat poetic) thing is the piece is meant to criticize how web3 participants can treat art. Botting entire supplies giving actual collectors no chance to mint & seeing it only as a vessel to extract money out of, and yet it still turned in to something many people began speculating on becoming a profitable "flip" and the event snowballed in to over 1,500 NFT's being burned forever. It did not in fact become a profitable flip for the speculators immediately, and they started accepting bids for 60 cents (less than the manifold transaction fee to burn). Which I would say is a steal for a piece of my art for those that placed the bids to buy. Since the mint we have burned a few hundred tokens and the current supply of the edition sits at 1.2k and I will continue burning the supply down in return for more art over time.
