A $5-million donation to @UHN's social medicine program is relaunching this week as the Gattuso Centre for Social Medicine Innovation. There, "peer support" helps to open eyes to other ways to help vulnerable patients.

So agree, I just was asked by my 5yr old grand daughter who is sleeping over what all the noise was on the TV and I was thrilled to tell her that it was for the 1st time ever a female Vice President of the U. S. was elected and like her, she is of mixed race, the sky is the limit

@JustinTrudeau The app will not contain COVID unless we also have timely testing. I received an exposure notification last Sunday night. I was tested on Sept 28. I have no symptoms but am still waiting for results 7 days later. Not an incentive to use the app.

All of us need to keep taking COVID-19 seriously and stop this second wave. If you haven’t already downloaded the COVID Alert app onto your phone, take a couple seconds and do it today. Because the more people who do, the more effective it’ll be. globalnews.ca/news/7352806/c…

@PublicHealthON Is this a regional #inequity issue? Do tests get processed faster in #Toronto or is there an issue at @MSHospital? My neighbour went to @WCHospital on Friday and got her results by Sunday morning.

Day 7 of waiting for #COVIDTest results from @MSHospital Shouldn’t people notified through the app get priority to contain spread of COVID? @celliottability @fordnation @PublicHealthON

@ONThealth I received a notification on the app last Sunday night. I was tested @MSHospital on Monday. Still waiting for my results - will I ever get them???

As of Oct 6, Ontario #COVID19 assessment centres will transition to appointment-based testing to provide certainty to patients as to when they can receive a test during the cold winter months. On Oct 4 walk-in testing services will be discontinued.

@fordnation Please invest more money in processing COVID tests!! I’ve been waiting 6 days. Now I’m told it might be 7. I have no symptoms but don’t want to put my vulnerable relatives (or others) at risk. My whole life is on hold. We need to fix this.
English

@celliottability I am on Day 6 of waiting for results. My test was done @MSHospital Now, I’m being told it could take 7 days to get results :( My neighbour went to @WCHospital on Friday and got her results in less than 48 hours. Why the big difference?

Ontario is reporting 566 cases of #COVID19 as nearly 39,700 were completed. Locally, there are 196 new cases in Toronto, 123 in Peel and 81 in Ottawa. 62% of today’s cases are in people under the age of 40. There are 534 more resolved cases.

Day 6 of waiting for #COVIDtest results after receiving a notification on the #COVIDapp No symptoms but I am self-isolating to protect others. Waiting this long is a disincentive for using the app☹️ @OPHA_Ontario @celliottability @fordnation @MSHospital

Thank you!! Problem was solved in 10 minutes via on-line chat. Too bad it took so long to get there. #customerservice
English

@TD_Canada What's the deal? I've spent hours today trying to get through to #TDVISA to fix the tap function on my credit card. I spoke to at least 7 service reps and had to go into a branch as well. Not what I would call "customer service" :(
