@DonkFast @ManaByte Yes, but it isn't affecting normal DMA devices. It isn't even touch the firmware of the device in question. There is 0% chance you aren't using AI, you are clueless to how any of this even works. You are just spouting off random nonsense.

@sliver22 @ManaByte I don't use AI for my posts. it doesn't "destroy" partitions. However, SSD's and other storage devices are usually SATA or NVME, which use DMA and access the game. Vanguard messes with the firmware and usually causes a bricked system due to corrupt data.

"Bricking someone's hardware" is a wild way to say "Vanguard enabled a standard Windows security feature that blocks unauthorized memory access." If a player takes the shady DMA cheat card out of their motherboard, the PC boots perfectly fine. Riot didn't fry their circuits; they just put a lock on a door. And please stop using "false positives" as a shield for people who bought literal hardware exploits. A standard gaming PC doesn't accidentally grow a Direct Memory Access card running custom spoofed firmware. If your PC got flagged by this update, you didn't accidentally download a bad patch; you spent $300 to cheat at a video game and got caught. Nice try though.
bubbles@NoLimits057

No company should be legally allowed to brick someone’s hardware. And for the people saying this could help stop cheaters — false positives exist. That means legitimate players could end up having their hardware disabled or flagged despite doing nothing wrong.

A Japanese manga artist lost his entire Google account forever after he uploaded private files from an old comic he drew to Google Drive. Google’s AI checked the files and flagged them as not allowed. He asked Google to review it again, but they rejected his appeal and banned the account immediately. He can no longer access years of his private drawings and lost access to many websites and services that used his Google login. The artist said this is very embarrassing and causes him a lot of trouble. He warned that it might not happen to people who always follow every rule, but others should be careful. So Google is scanning files that people upload to its cloud storage even if they are supposed to be private. I wonder how long they have been doing this.

@Gigabear_X @Noxtradm Enforcing OS built in security features is not malice or outside of the law. The instability is caused by setups that are heavily customized to be able to read protected memory. It "damages" and "breaks" nothing. A judge would laugh at this case and toss it.

@Noxtradm You're not allowed to damage people's hardware, and Riot by all accounts is create a situation where that will happen with full knowledge. All they have to do is ban the accounts, but instead, they make IOMMU changes to fault flood these boards to break them on purpose.

No. Once activated, Vanguard trojan destroys hard drive partitions and digs into the firmware of many PCIE devices, bricking them to the point you will need to manually flash them. Stop using the terminology "Cheat Card". These PCIE devices are based in security and research, they are used for debugging.

@SpectralPoli @ManaByte They have specified this only hits people who are found cheating. And not only that, all they are doing is ENFORCING built in OS security infrastructure. It doesn't even disable normal DMA devices.. It's only causing issues for custom setups trying to access protected memory.

Well, that escalated quickly. There’s been a wave of claims by cheaters about Vanguard “bricking” their PCs, so let’s clear that up: Vanguard does not damage hardware or disable your devices. The photo we posted is a picture of cheat hardware devices that are sold explicitly for cheating in VALORANT (not normal PCs or PC components). Through our latest updates, Vanguard now makes those devices worthless for VAL, but does not in any way brick PCs or PC components or PC software. Our latest update enforces standard platform security features, like the Input-Output Memory Management Unit (IOMMU), on accounts identified as using Direct Memory Access (DMA) cheating devices. These protections are already part of modern systems and when enabled, they block DMA cheat devices (such as those shown in the photo) from accessing memory in downstream applications, like our games. If a cheat setup continues attempting to cheat after those protections are enabled, the system may generate hardware faults or instability. This is expected behavior under IOMMU when attempts are made to read protected memory. Disabling IOMMU allows the cheat device to function again, but IOMMU will still be required to play our games. This means the cheat device won’t work with our games, but your PC isn’t “bricked.” We would not, and cannot, impact your PC’s functionality in any other fashion. This functionality only applies to systems attempting to use DMA cheat devices, and players who are not using DMA-based cheat setups are not affected. We’ll keep investing in anti-cheat to protect competitive integrity, and we’ll keep being as transparent as possible about how those systems work.

Party Animals@party_animals

Dear Party Animals players, Regarding the controversy surrounding the recent "Golden Paw Awards" AI Video Contest, we would like to offer our deepest apologies to all players who have expressed concern, shared criticism, and voiced their opinions — especially to our creator community. Following the announcement of this event, we received a significant amount of negative feedback. We have read through your comments and opinions one by one. We must admit that our consideration of the event's conception was insufficient, the design was inadequately thought through, and our communication with the community was not up to par. Even though our original intention was to encourage more diverse forms of creative expression and lower the barrier to entry, allowing more players who love Party Animals to participate, we mistakenly tied "lowering the barrier" together with "using AI." In doing so, we overlooked the potential offense and harm that the ongoing debate surrounding AI-generated content could cause to our players and the creator community. We feel deeply uneasy and apologetic about this, and we sincerely accept the criticism. After carefully considering voices from all sides, we held a vote across our major platforms regarding whether the event should proceed. Based on your feedback and our own internal review and reflection, we have made the following decision: Effective immediately, the "Golden Paw Awards" event is officially canceled. To the players who were troubled, disappointed, or offended by this situation, we would like to once again express our sincere apologies. To every player who voiced criticism, participated in the vote, and pushed us to re-evaluate this issue, we would like to express our most sincere gratitude. Moving forward, we will approach related topics with a much more humble and cautious attitude. Before launching any future community creation events, we pledge to communicate thoroughly, listen earnestly to your feedback, and ensure we have reached a community consensus before deciding whether to go ahead. Additionally, we will continue to collect, organize, and act upon player feedback regarding gameplay mechanics and other areas. We hereby promise to listen more closely to our players, respect your voices, and maintain a tighter line of communication with the community. The Party Animals Team May 19, 2026

Jane Fraser, Citigroup CEO 9. Larry Culp, General Electric CEO 10. David Solomon, Goldman Sachs CEO 11. Sanjay Mehrotra, Micron CEO 12. Cristiano Amon, Qualcomm CEO President Trump also says there are "many other" CEOs joining him on the trip who have not yet been disclosed. Never in history has such a trip even remotely near this scale and caliber occurred. This Trump-Xi meeting is far bigger than most realize.

PREDICTION: Anthropic will surpass Alphabet in revenue by mid-2028. This is not a bull case or an acceleration scenario — it is a continuation of the curve already in evidence. Anthropic’s ARR went from $1B (Jan 2025) to $9B (Dec 2025) to $30B (Apr 2026) — a 3.3x step in a single four-month window, and the curve has been steepening, not flattening. My projection actually assumes deceleration from here: $100B by end of 2026, $340B in 2027, $850B in 2028, $1.4T in 2029, $2T by 2030. Crossover with Alphabet happens at ~$575B in mid-2028, not because Anthropic accelerates beyond today’s pace, but because Alphabet — locked at ~15% YoY in a mature ads-and-cloud business — cannot match enterprise AI’s adoption physics. As @rodriscoll intelligently observed recently, Gemini tokens served grew by only 60% in the last quarter … while Anthropic grew by 10X. Three drivers make the continuation structural, not speculative: customers spending >$1M/year with Anthropic doubled from 500 to 1,000 in under two months post-Series G (these are multi-year expanding contracts with near-zero churn — switching a deployed agent stack mid-flight is operationally untenable); Claude Code is the wedge, not the product, dragging the rest of the platform — agents, MCP, healthcare, biotech — into every Fortune 2000 deployment as an attach point; and compute supply is finally non-binding with the 3.5GW Google + Broadcom deal (2027+), this weeks SpaceX partnership, and 1GW of standing Google capacity for 2026. For most of 2024–2025 the bottleneck was supply, not demand. That constraint is releasing exactly when the demand curve is steepest. The standard objection — “no company has ever sustained this at scale” — applies a software-era frame to a labor-era business. AWS, Azure, and Meta decelerated at $50–100B because they sold tools to the economy. Anthropic is selling cognitive capacity into the economy. The TAM isn’t enterprise software ($800B). It’s labor ($50T+). When the denominator is two orders of magnitude larger, “deceleration at $100B ARR” stops being a law and starts being an assumption. The crossover isn’t a maybe. It’s a function of timing. Mid-2028 is when I think Anthropic surpasses Google.
