Incredible events unfolding tonight after the SFA’s statement unintentionally proved the Hearts case. The Celtic board are absolutely apoplectic and making all sorts of threats to Ian Maxwell demanding he delete it. Hearts directors are at Tyners downing champagne with the wee Hearts, Hearts, Glorious Hearts guy leading a singalong.

I have now written as a former Chair of Hearts to SFA Chief Executive, Ian Maxwell, asking for a review of last Saturday’s match where it is increasingly clear rules were broken when the match was stopped because of pitch invasion before all the extra time had been played

@GrahamSpiers were really arguing this much about 30 seconds, it's got a bit out of hand this, compare and contrast with the coverage of a Celtic coach actually getting attacked at Ibrox. Hearts were happy to finish, that should be the end of it.

I do have one issue with the SFA statement. They appear to believe that, because the game clock shows 53.07 (98.07) at conclusion, Celtic v Hearts was fully played out, no premature ending. But Callum Osmand’s goal was scored at 52.30 (97.30) and was immediately followed by fans on the pitch. So this SFA claim doesn’t make sense. The outcome of the match was not in doubt but the SFA can hardly claim that “more than the minimum additional time of eight minutes” were added. Not unless they mean that both teams could actually have played on with fans on the field.
Graham Spiers@GrahamSpiers

So we can now say - which we haven’t been able to say openly for days - that Derek McInnes told match officials he wanted Celtic v Hearts ended the moment Celtic went 3-1 up and fans invaded the pitch.

Tony Bloom on the Celtic v Hearts pitch invasion. "The final whistle hadn't gone so no supporter should be on the pitch. The Hearts players were in danger, one or two got assaulted. It's completely unacceptable behaviour." edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football…

I'm a Heart of Midlothian season ticket holder, shareholder and Foundation member. I, along with several thousand Hearts fans have agency with the club. Contrast this with Celtic, whose relationship with the fans is solely transactional. It's like cheering being served a Big Mac
Hybrid Moments@Alabama_Celt

@SaorAlbannach Why are the huns taking this so much worse than the Hearts fans. I thought they were Dignity FC.

Release the audio. How hard can it be @spfl and if what you are saying is correct, that should only vindicate your position, isn't it?

The picture tells you all you need to know about that penalty at Well. It also reflects the lack of professionalism in that dressing room. They need an overhaul and this season they got away with one. They know it and everyone else knows it. Shameless fans. Classless players.

If I was Hearts, the first thing I would be doing tomorrow morning would be contacting the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Would be the most open and shut case in history. The next few weeks will have absolutely colossal implications for sporting integrity.

@VFTES1 This, we've all been on the recieving end of some honking decisions this season, even Celtic. Hearts have had 3-4 right dodgy calls go their way too. The reaction to this is all a bit bonkers.

So here's another way to view events, the word " corruption " is being thrown about like confetti, what if in fact nobody is bent or biased and this is the actual standard of officiating in Scottish Football, isn't that more concerning?

The abuse from Celtic fans since they won the title has been off the wall. I just block or ignore these buffoons, so it’s water off a duck’s back. I do wonder, though, how these cyber freaks would have reacted had they lost the league. If this is them happy…👀

Over the past 8 seasons, 7% of Celtic's goals have come from the spot - the lowest % in the Prem. 14% of the goals conceded by Celtic have come from the spot - the highest % in the Prem. Source: FBREF. That's as many years as they posted both PKs awarded and conceded.

How about you shove your commiserations, we don’t need it. Exact same thing happened in 🇨🇿 Czechia and Slavia Prague outcome was abandoned, and a 3-0 victory awarded to the opponent. Praising your inconsistent, incompetent officials is embarrassing. Spineless, corrupt cowards.

SPFL@spfl

SPFL Statement "Firstly, we send our congratulations to Celtic on winning the William Hill Premiership in the most exciting of circumstances and send our commiserations to everyone at Heart of Midlothian following an incredible campaign. “We would also like to thank the referee and his excellent team of match officials for their cool heads on such a dramatic day. Given the speculation about the conclusion of the game, we would like to make clear that, prior to awarding the trophy, we were informed by the match referee that the match had ended and had not been abandoned. "Yesterday’s match showed off the very best of the Scottish game and the drama and excitement that it is rightly famed for. The eyes of the world were on Glasgow and the climax of the William Hill Premiership, with millions of viewers watching the match on Sky Sports and across the globe. "However, we utterly condemn the scenes which saw a number of Celtic supporters encroach onto the field of play. We await the report of our match delegate regarding any specific incidents that took place but, regardless, supporters entering the field of play in any circumstances is wholly unacceptable and puts those participating and working at a match at risk. We note that entering the pitch in England and Wales has been a criminal offence since 1991. We urge anyone with information about any alleged criminal activity to contact Police Scotland."
