@ChShersh I used gedit for 3 years, with basic features and it sharped my knowledge in C.

At this point, I’m convinced devs just love creating new IDEs. In my short life, I already used (in order): Visual Basic 6.0 IDE Turbo Pascal Pascal ABC Borland Delphi Notepad++ Microsoft Visual Studio Eclipse IntelliJ IDEA Sublime Atom Vim Emacs Spacemacs NeoVim VS Code

Warren Buffett uses a phone only for calls and texts. Should we bring back the good old phones with just two functionalities—call and text—and make them popular again?

@sonam_murarkar a long long time ago, when console.log() was not yet invented, the primitive javascript developers use document.write() to debug their code, and alert() sometimes.

@kvlly I always ask myself this question, how many people (I know) can do (or do better) than what I do?, it turns out, not that much 😎

What if instead of Extensions in Text Editors we had Contractions? Every time you install a Contraction it removes functionality from your Editor. Emacs would definitely benefit from that.

@josecalderon I once sat next to Dijkstra at dinner. I asked him why he didn't use category theory, as it's the ultimate theory of programming? His response was: "If I was as young as you, this is what I would do. But I'm too old now, so it's up to your generation". This was 30+ years ago.

@marsgpl @ImSh4yy Ill say one last thing, let’s say we have 2 endpoints using POST POST api/v1/posts POST api/v1/posts/:id It is quite obvious which one creates vs. updates without the need for request type semantics.

Why do C programmers always obfuscate their code? Are they trying to save space? Do they have to pay for each letter? Are they using some trial version of GCC that doesn't allow actual words in variable names?
