@specstuart @Esweeney7 @USWPColby Because Epstein received EU market updates which Mark Carney was mentioned in almost every time. Trump is in there because he's accused of raping underage girls. You know you can just look it up yourself like a big kid right?

@paulvieira @CherylR09307747 It likely has a lot more to do with 🇨🇦 officially joining the #EU's SAFE initiative and partnering with our Nordic #NATO partners to secure the Arctic. 🇨🇦 is building new River Class Destroyers, buying new Subs and building new heavy ice breakers. @Saab Gripens and F35's next.

(Reuters) - The U.S. decision to suspend planned biannual defense talks with Canada follows deepening concern that Ottawa is failing to take steps to become a "credible" security partner, a Pentagon official said on Thursday. reuters.com/business/aeros…

@13th_Vorenus @cecile_shaw8 @Bitcoin_Teddy Let’s be real, this “discounted oil”, undercuts the domestic US oil market. This “NICE” gesture benefits Canadians more than Americans. Canada is not this innocent and nice country you think we are. We are assholes of the dying British empire.

@cecile_shaw8 @Bitcoin_Teddy Does the US get a discounted (subsidized) on Can Oil? Yes. Does the US profit from Canadian discounted oil? Yes 15-18 dollars per barrel. How many barrels a day does US import? 4M per day. How much does the US profit each day? 60M. How much dos the US profit each year? 21.9 B +-.

@erinotoole I honestly wouldn’t trust the Canadian government with a sophisticated piece of military equipment like the F35. In fact, they can’t even govern themselves less the population.

I agree - Canada should immediately develop a nuclear weapons program to defend the north and our sovereignty. Canada has everything we need to do so. Thank you US allies for reminding us of this important idea

"It's not America's job to protect Canada!" Yup... and it's not our job to let the US train with Canadian troops, buy our resources, use our North for early detection of a nuclear attack on the US or anything thing else Canada works along side the US for. We have a partnership with the US and Trump is an idiot if he cannot see it. Especially when he wants that new oil pipeline from Canada.

Yesterday, the US paused the Canada-US Defense board and many maple magats are blaming PM Carney. Considering the US has threatened to annex Canada, why would we want to work with them? The PM has been working on building relationships elsewhere, and I'm all for it. 🇨🇦❤️

@Smil3yAngel The free ride is officially over. Canada has to look for a new host and as much as we love the Europeans they will not let us latch on for the ride unless we give up our sovereignty to them. Let’s be honest with ourselves. We aren’t strong enough to take a stand physically.

The United States, under Donald Trump and JD Vance, cannot demand on one hand that Canada do a better job at defence, while on the other hand insisting that Canadians forgo the ultimate form of protection. Which is it? Canada should immediately develop a nuclear weapons program to defend our northern territories and national sovereignty. We already possess the necessary foundations: world-class academic physics research, strong engineering capabilities, and a viable domestic supply chain for essential materials. As a fellow NATO partner and longtime ally, France could temporarily station nuclear weapons on Saint Pierre and Miquelon until Canada develops its own independent capability. Thank you to our American allies for highlighting the critical importance of homeland defence.

This is profoundly misguided and quite strange coming right after the President’s visit to China. Canada has been and will be an ally that shares values of liberty. As a Canadian whose grandfather deployed to Alaska for joint defence in WWII, I hope we don’t lose sight of that.

🚨 BREAKING BOTH Russia and the US are running disinfo campaigns to stoke Alberta separatism. 67 Pravda Network items in 4 months targeting the referendum And the Liberals’ response? Blame Albertans The REPORT ITSELF says Alberta’s grievances are “rooted in legitimate concerns.” Liberals killed Northern Gateway. Killed Energy East. Imposed a tanker ban on BC’s coast. Drained equalization with zero reform. Bro maybe try NOT punishing Alberta’s economy for a decade first. This is what Liberals do. They ignore the disease and blame the symptom

@alleria_eh My family risked their lives 200 years ago to flee Europe. To live free. This is a mistake to get in bed with the Europeans. We will lose what little values we have left. Also, prepare yourself for a likelihood of more wars.Well that could be a good thing for our defense industry.

🇨🇦What if Canada joined the EU? It would gain full access to the European Single Market, easier trade/investment with 27 countries, student/work mobility across Europe, and a seat at the table shaping EU rules. Canada could keep the Canadian dollar (like Sweden/Denmark), its own military, foreign policy, and legal system. Joining the EU doesn’t erase independence. Every member is a fully sovereign country with its own government, flag, and UN seat. It’s a voluntary partnership, not absorption. Canada would still run Canada.🇨🇦

Today, I chaired the first meeting of the new Advisory Committee on Canada-U.S. Economic Relations. We discussed Canada’s priorities in upcoming the joint review of the CUSMA, and the importance of maintaining a strong, stable, and mutually beneficial economic partnership between Canada and the United States. Bringing together diverse expertise, the committee will ensure Canada engages with the United States in a unified way – because Canada is strongest when we work together.
