Just a quick anthropology appreciation text. I'm a sociologist + there's great oa work in our field led by @joe_dev + others But the dedication to open-access in anthropology seems kind of unrivalled. Anthros on Wittgenstein on Frazer is a perfect Sunday library.oapen.org/viewer/web/vie…

It took some time to get my last article published, but I hope you enjoy it. It's a historical account of the controversial concept of personal responsibility and HIV prevention from the 1980s up to today, in the times of neoliberalism. journals.sagepub.com/doi/full/10.11…

@stefanecks Thanks for sharing! Read it today evening. Found the co-creation of value framing super interesting. Super helpful as I am currently writing my PhD on the PMJAY :)

This brilliant piece by @stefanecks deals with a highly important and overlooked aspect of India’s public healthcare landscape. Resonates so closely with my PhD research too!

Kindly #deprescribe -- taper psychiatric drugs
@JDaviesPhD @stefanecks The UK's failed experiment in treating poverty with psychiatric drugs demonstrates the hollowness of psychiatry's claim that it must "be inclusive" of "underserved populations" because they lack the blessings of being drugged to the gills with crappy pharmaceuticals.

@JDaviesPhD @stefanecks This is a brilliant article. Patients getting ill because they are treated, struck a real chord in me. I was in with a family member being treated by a secession of locums. My job was to parry each new, unnecessary script addition made to a patient not known to the locum.

@JDaviesPhD @stefanecks This is a fantastic paper. Speaks to what I’ve seen in a year of clinical work in a trauma service. Makes my heart sink, though, thinking of how endemic this phenomenon will be across the country.
