@lmstroud89 @NASSP @ParentsvsVape This is ridiculous. You're showing a table that doesn't have youth e-cig data until 2015, at which point e-cig numbers are much higher than cigs--which were on a steady downward trend for other reasons. Who pays you for these excellent public health insights?

@michelleminton @Vapingit ? Nobody looking honestly at the decades-long decline in US youth tobacco use sees the huge jump in vaping as saving high schoolers from cigs. That's a tobacco industry narrative. New kids started bc of heavily marketed, attractive, highly addictive and accessible new products.

@stina_si @Vapingit There was a sharp decline (from an insane high) but it wasn’t consistent in youth or adults. And the fall has been sharper since I’m the intro of lower risk alternatives archive.triblive.com/news/long-plat… The US isn’t the only country in the world. Check out what’s happening in Japan, e.g.
