@mlrhino @OCFireAuthority If it blows, of course they know the consequences that’s why they expanded the mandatory evacuation zone to account for variables like wind conditions. And sure, homelessness is a complex & systemic issue. I’m curious to know how you would approach the homeless issue.

@strange_void111 @OCFireAuthority Yes, we appreciate them telling the public the truth. However, the leadership in CA has not shown competence in dealing with some fires, the homeless, etc. Tell me why you are so impressed. If this blows, do they really know the consequences?

@chiefoficrbarns @OCFireAuthority Screenshots from vendors supplying GKN describing repeated late payments and billing issues. While financial disputes alone do not prove unsafe practices, they may reflect a broader pattern of operational mismanagement and delayed prioritization of critical obligations.

@strange_void111 @OCFireAuthority What makes you think the company "cut corners"? If they did, it will come out in the investigation that will happen after this but for the moment, its just a highly unstable chemical that became more highly unstable and they couldn't cool it. No word if that is the Co. Fault yet.

@chiefoficrbarns @OCFireAuthority Due to their past safety history, I would not be surprised if a similar incident were to happen again. We’ll see how the investigation unfolds. 2/

@chiefoficrbarns @OCFireAuthority “Following an OSHA inspection on April 23, 2018, the California Department of Industrial Relations cited GKN Aerospace in Garden Grove for failing to properly inspect or maintain machinery.” Given the company’s past safety history, I would 1/

@OCFireAuthority Many environmental disasters happen due to improper safety procedures and maintenance. Due to not prioritizing the time and energy into it. Please, I know you’re all upset and frustrated but do not be patronizing to those emergency responders trying their best to keep us safe. 4/

@OCFireAuthority And do maintenance on these equipments. No matter how expensive it is, they should NEVER cut corners on safety in the name of profits. We need to pay more attention to these behaviors and put pressure on these companies to no longer cut down on safety in the name of profits. 3/

@mlrhino @OCFireAuthority Stfu, please stop with your vampiric nihilism - the way they have responded to this crisis has been exemplary and transparent communication about what’s going on.

@OCFireAuthority I have doubts about the leadership in CA to handle any crisis. We've seen the destruction with incompetent responses over and over again with fires. Now this is a completely unique situation. Lord help us.
