Mulai dari Weak Hero, peran ikonik King Danjong di film box office The King's Warden yang tembus 16 juta penonton sekaligus dapet piala Baeksang, sampe sekarang sukses cetak rekor rating tinggi lewat drama komedi barunya, The Legend of Kitchen Soldier. ​Di saat penonton, yang katanya mulai bosen sama visual karakter utama romantis yang itu2 aja, Jihoon konsisten kasih penyegaran lewat totalitas aktingnya di berbagai genre, bahkan komedi B-grade.
