@cloudedyellows @BC_Norfolk @akcozm Norfolk has had Small Blues for a few years now - it is fairly well known, including to Butterfly Conservation, so I'm a little confused by the original post.
English

@BC_Norfolk @akcozm Blues are having a good season down south. Holly Blues everywhere, Adonis Blues emerging, Common Blues well out and Small Blues doing well in Wiltshire. Also Brown Argus is appearing in good number. Will be interesting to know if Norfolk does see any Small Blues.
English

The inconspicuous Small Blue is on the wing in the south of the country. It could be the next species to make an appearance in Norfolk. Let us know if you see one, or maybe you already have? #savebutterflies 📷️ Iain Leach BC

English

@BC_Norfolk Don't quite understand this - they've been in Norfolk for several years.
English

@TWOweather 100% a Muntjac - the two black stripes making a V shape and meeting between the eyes is completely diagnostic amongst British deer.
English

The reason I suggest Muntjac is because it seemed very small for a deer, although that's not clear from the pic. It walked across our path and was on its own, near Frithsden last night.
The Weather Outlook@TWOweather
Is this a Muntjac?
English

@eddcoles Probs because I've got more warmth and depth than you love!
English

@symes_andy High chance you’ll win it for the rest of the week love!
English

@eddcoles @midge_michi I see @eddcoles is going on about his micropenis again. Yes, maybe the nurse will find it eventually - stranger things have happened!
English

@midge_michi @symes_andy Ignore it!….. Nurse will find it eventually, needs dosing up and sending back to bed!….
English

@eddcoles @RakiaAndSausage Boyfriend? Dead otter? You OK hun? On the sauce this early in the morning?! That's not gonna end well...
English

@symes_andy @RakiaAndSausage So, no then?!.,…
Ok, I shall continue to treat you with the contempt you deserve!
Pop back on bluesky! See your boyfriends got a dead Otter if you want it?!
English

Cunt of the day!…..
Andy Symes@symes_andy
@eddcoles @eddcoles is still waiting to have the extremely obvious spelled out to him, apparently. Don't feel too bad for him though, I expect he's managing to pass the time getting sloshed and having a cheeky shuffle to videos of little T*mmy R*binson!
English

@eddcoles @RakiaAndSausage Am I going to make a coherent argument to the guy who's already called me a cunt multiple times? Yes, that seems like a good use of time 🤣
English

@symes_andy @RakiaAndSausage Andy, are you going to make a coherent argument?!….
No, probably not!
English

@eddcoles @ChrisNi1969 What a shame, delicate little snowflake @ChrisNi1969 seems to have protected his posts so I can't see how hilarious this was for myself.
English

@eddcoles @midge_michi Here comes another delicate soul @midge_michi replying to posts from their protected account. Seems to be a lot of precious folk who don't want their feelings hurting around here Edward!
English

@midge_michi @symes_andy Apparently so!….
From what I can gather,….. “Wrong think”
Is the crime?!….
What that has to do with a decade or so of Keeping and Conservation I don’t know?!…
English

@RakiaAndSausage @eddcoles *Cerebrally.
You OK? Do you write these, or does your sausage write them?
English

@eddcoles The man is clearly cerebally challenged with a massive cunt as a personality
English

@eddcoles @wildernorfolk Oh Edward, when so much of what you post makes it seem like you'd be incapable of having an adult conversation is it any wonder people aren't keen to take you up on the offer?
English

@symes_andy @wildernorfolk Hi Andy, yes. DM’s are open! I believe @wildernorfolk should get in touch to have a conversation, like adults!
Thanks in advance!
English

This man doesn’t represent gamekeepers. He shames them.
Edward Coles@eddcoles
Tbf Dave Hill does look good for 80!
English

@eddcoles @wildernorfolk Hang on, you think it's @wildernorfolk that needs to explain himself? 'Bizzare' indeed... You on the gin again old boy?
English

@wildernorfolk Hi @wildernorfolk please feel free to explain yourself?!….
DM’s open.
Bizzare!
English

@TrooperSnooks @reformparty_uk @TheCriticMag Oh no he is quite funny - assume the article was a joke then.
English

Are @reformparty_uk set to out green the Greens? I believe they could, if they continue on their path of being the farmer's new best friend. My latest for the @TheCriticMag.

@bswud "The ‘millions’ of fish people mention are river lampreys and similar, basically microscopic eels, of which there are trillions in the sea. They are therefore not protected..."
If I was this ignorant about a subject I simply wouldn't post. But you do you, I guess.
English

To be clear, as there were a lot of mistaken tweets doing the rounds, there is no question that several hundred million pounds have been spent on fish mitigations at Hinkley Point C. The fish disco cost £50m and the retrieval and return system cost £150m.
The first debate is over the extra large intake, which cost £500m. Some fraction of this would have been necessary either way. My guess is about £50m of it, based on the gauge compared with other cases. I could be part wrong, but not hugely.
If I’m right, then £650m of it was spent purely on fish mitigations. There is no chance that only £50m was, but perhaps only £600m was. On the other hand, maybe £675m was spent on fish.
The second question is the number of fish. There is no question that only a handful of protected fish are being saved, no one disputes this. The 0.083 salmon per year and 100 twaite and allis shad numbers are not disputed.
The ‘millions’ of fish people mention are river lampreys and similar, basically microscopic eels, of which there are trillions in the sea. They are therefore not protected and no one realistically thinks we should protect them.
Some people are muddying the waters by trying to make this unclear.
English

@a2_masters In which someone who can't spell 'opinionated' and thinks @Sam_Dumitriu isn't a liar does a hilarious, self-important little rant about a subject they clearly know absolutely nothing about.
English

This is where Parliament must step in and rein the Civil Service in.
Some over-oppinionated grad on £25k/Yr is currently holding a £Bns project to ransom, insisting it floods half of Somerset for fish.
Hierarchy must be imposed. Power must be used. Decisions must be obeyed.
Sam Dumitriu@Sam_Dumitriu
Natural England have decided that £700m spent protecting fish isn’t enough. They want EDF to do even more before they’ll let them switch the plant on. This will cause a big delay. Put simply, Natural England is a threat to our energy security. telegraph.co.uk/business/2026/…
