My first car was a Subaru Legacy B Sport. Same engineers, same pool that bought us the MacBooks. We just kept it running. 5 of us, 4M each every month. Whoever's turn it was that month drove off in a car. I still remember all five of us going together to the car bonds in Nakawa and Kireka to buy that month's car. Every trip was a moment of excitement. I could not wait for mine. Laptops first. Then cars. Same five names every time, no contracts, no interest.

One day l'll wake up, brush my teeth, take a bath, dress nicely, eat good food, step out of my house, and go buy a car.

Learn to see people for who they truly are, not for the versions your heart hopes they could become. Kindness is a virtue, not a contract. In life, being kind does not exempt you from harsh realities, just like the lion will not spare you simply because you don't eat it. Still, remain kind, but let wisdom walk beside your compassion.

As @PAU_Uganda prepares to celebrate Uganda’s first oil milestone later this year, it is important that the industry also reflects on the growing concerns surrounding delayed payments to local suppliers and contractors on the @TotalEnergiesUG Tilenga project. Several Ugandan companies that answered the national call for local content participation now face severe financial distress, foreclosures & possible collapse after delivering goods and services without timely compensation. The success of Uganda’s Oil & Gas sector must not only be measured by first oil but also by how sustainably it empowers and protects indigenous businesses that invested heavily to support the dream.

People that teach forex trading will get charts that are already done forming, put their strategy on it and make video about it showing how successful their setup would be but then the real market says otherwise

I often find this kind of messaging misleading, even when it is meant to be symbolic. Why? Because it is rare to find any major project in this country that is actually funded by the Government of Uganda. The only significant expenditure from the money you collect is the payment of Public Servants’ salaries. And unfortunately, the same Public Servants still steal or misuse much of what remains.

It's filing season, our taxes can do wonders for the country like transforming the Kampala Namanve commuter train to a bullet train. All you need to do is file and pay your taxes. #URATicktock #ItCanGetBetter

I really respect those friends who scale up and stop talking to you because you no longer in tune with who they are at that time. Like don't let friendship and knowing each other stop you from getting that performativeness bag

Stop the nonsense, take care of your parents... Start by; 1. Making sure you know their blood pressure readings for the past 3 months, their blood surgar, HBa1C, their lipid profile, heart health for one year. 2. Make it a habit of calling them at least weekly to see if they're fine, are they still doing things they used to or became weak to do, eg. Going to o church, small gardening. 3. Do they have a doctor's appointment? Go with them. 4. Do they eat healthy? Adults eat cheaply for the cheapest food is the most healthy food and it's what they need. 5. Visit them once in a while unannounced. 6. If they have chronic diseases like diabetes, are they still taking the medication, is it still in stock or it's done... When are they seeing the doctor again. Parents are like brothers and sisters, we don't get who we want but must love the ones we get and she/he's the one you got, so you just have to love the one you got...
