There is a strategic roadmap addressing sustainability, user experience, and technical challenges. Developing STEPN GO as a separate app was necessary due to the impracticality of altering STEPN’s infrastructure. STEPN GO allows for distinct but complementary experiences, focusing on social features and Web2 onboarding, attracting new users while retaining the existing base. This dual approach ensures a vibrant ecosystem, balancing innovation with stability, and creating a sustainable, engaging platform. Q2: Can we use STEPN and STEPN GO simultaneously? A: There are no restrictions from using both simultaneously. STEPN, stable for the past two years, is ideal for serious outdoor exercise and longer sessions. STEPN GO requires burning Sneakers to increase Energy cap and is better for shorter, social sessions. STEPN GO targets Web2 users and social aspects, while STEPN serves its established Web3 community. Both products offer distinct experiences and cater to different user bases, ensuring a smooth transition between the two. Q3: Is there a starter guide for new STEPN GO users? A: Yes, we have a lightpaper with animations and will provide a comprehensive handbook and onboarding videos to help new users get started. Q4: Will STEPN and STEPN GO be integrated? A: Existing STEPN users can onboard to STEPN GO at a very low cost. However, selling assets on STEPN may disqualify you. A: Using refined SMAC system to ban botting behavior and ensure fair play. Q17: What are Trial Sneakers? A: Trial Sneakers, given away in events or collaborations, earn FSL points but not GGT. They are designed to help new users understand STEPN GO. Q18: Why is there such a significant difference between Common and Uncommon Sneakers in terms of Sockets, Attributes, and Mystery Boxes? A: We want initial Web2 users to have a simple experience without being overwhelmed by earning. Common Sneakers don’t earn Mystery Boxes to prevent distraction. Users who want more features need to get Uncommon Sneakers, encouraging gradual learning. This approach helps users focus on starting their own Haus and ensures a smooth product experience. Q19: How did you come up with the new Sneakers leveling system? Is there a plan for an Outfit levelling system too? How about Legendary sneakers? A: We responded to users’ complaints about the level limit of 30 and separated Sneaker Qualities in STEPN GO. Users can now enhance Sneakers from lower to higher levels, previously unavailable. Obtaining Legendary Sneakers requires Minting, which takes time and has a low chance of success. New Sneaker Quality tiers will be introduced gradually, considering user growth and design implementation to ensure balance. Outfits use a crafting system instead of leveling. There are two types of crafting: free crafting, which doesn’t cost GGT but results in a single outfit, and premium crafting, which requires burning GGT and offers a chance to obtain higher-quality items. Q20: Can GGT be used for real-world purchases? A: Future plans aim to enable this, but it’s still in development and involves significant work. Q21: Will STEPN release Legendary Sneakers? A: We haven’t forgotten about STEPN Legendary Sneakers, but we aim to design something distinct from Common to Epic Sneakers. This is in our pipeline, and once we address issues in STEPN GO, we’ll focus on independent updates for STEPN. It will take a few months before we can announce a release date. Q22: Will STEPN players access the Schadenfreude Pool? A: The STEPN Schadenfreude Pool, funded by recovered hack assets, was distributed to active users last year. The STEPN Schadenfreude Pool, sourced differently, is currently empty. Players will be able to earn from it once it reaches a significant amount. Q23: Will the decentralised marketplace be transparent, showing all sales, mints, and burns on the blockchain? Also, will we need to transfer GMT/GGT between wallets as in STEPN?
