@benvurlod That's a lot of spiders my guy. Giving me Eight Legged Freaks vibes. As an arachnophobe I'd love to play this. Any plans for a Steam page?

A super cool, really friendly solo dev is making a game that constantly scares him while he's making it! It's got: - Bloody parts - Psychologically horrific parts - Jumpscary parts Would you play this? (don't do it, it's really scary)

@VatsalAmbastha have used Unity for the past 10 years. Banged my head against HDRP pipeline for the past 4 and it hasnt been able to keep up with Unreal, specially for lighting, character physics (hair, cloth), skin shaders etc... how about you?

I'm working on a new game concept right now about a guy who lives in his dad's garage. Here's some early light bake and level design concepts. It's my first time using Unreal Engine in 10 years. So far it's a lot of fun :D

@takaworks_9999 @UnderTheMayo @HelmBreaker21 Yeah - I was curious because it seems in some cases Lumen might out perform dynamic lights/ray tracing, particularly large outdoor scenes. But with indoor spaces it seemed like the trade off was less obvious. Lumen seems to be constantly improving where as the other tech is "old"

@tf_videogames @UnderTheMayo @HelmBreaker21 We were using baked lighting+raytrace. But I'm considering switching to lumen as surprisingly it's giving us better performance on the steam deck. And another reason is that because our levels are becoming bigger, we need to use more texture memory, which shadow maps

I was woundering. Why did game devs stopped using pre-rendered cutscenes? Aren't they just better overall. And look good even on low end devices?

@ABKBdev UI is the first thing players touch and the last thing most devs think about. Not you though. This slaps.

If you disable the music in the settings, you'll hear a man whispering something to James when you stand under any street lamp in the Otherworld town! It's one of the most insane Easter eggs in my opinion, and a genius addition by the audio team! This triggers after you reach the motorhome. #silenthill #silenthill2 #silenthill2remake

@takaworks_9999 @UnderTheMayo @HelmBreaker21 What lighting setup do you use for your gameplay sections? I was curious if you're using Lumen or relying on baked lighting with some dynamic lights? Liminal Point was the game that inspired me to switch to UE5 for my next project :) Just curious what was most effective for you.
