I keep telling people buying EVs: Don't buy an electric car if you, 1. Don't drive at least 1,500 Kms a month. 2. You plan to sell your car without making most of the energy cost savings (which will happen only if you drive a LOT) and 3. Don't have access to home charging. This is NOT an isolated case. The owner of a 7 month old Punch.EV went to exchange his car a facelifted Punch.EV. He got a quote 5.7 lakh less than what he'd bought his car for. From the same Tata dealer he bought the car from. cartoq.com/car-life/tata-… So, it's NOT a good idea to sell off a EV so soon. For that matter, any car. Cars need to be owned at least 7-8 years. Else, FAFO!

Stationery seems to be interestingly dominated only by legacy brands: - Camlin (94 years old) - Natraj (68 years old) - DOMS (52 years old) There definitely is a play for a new age consumer brand here, wonder why it's not being built

Tata has just shared a teaser where it is shown that 10K Sierras are delivered. Opinion: Tata has made commuter looking cars like Nexon & Punch sell in crazy numbers with working on constant feedback, Sierra is Sierra. In 12-24 months, with more & more feedback, I am sure by looking at the pattern that Tata will silently introduce many variants of Sierra to make it sell with packed capacity. Curvv’s case was different, Sierra inside the showroom looks majestic & very want worthy. Keep an eye on sales numbers for 12-15 months and bookmark this tweet.

Recorded a hundred ads in the last two days, working on sundays, uploaded them yesterday to go live today and meta is down. Of course it’s performing below average since a week. Can’t help do anything but wait for issue to get resolved. Will reduce budgets.

Bro better to talk to bank directly for this. Essentially, givernment is giving Loans to MSME companies in CGTMSE without collateral looking at your financial data of last year / years. Max they can give is ten crores. Only once u apply will u come to know. Also, what I have noticed is that different banks u need to approach for this, if one says no. For d2c companies, they would see that this money is spent on stock, something the banks can value and you should be profitable of course

nicobar is one of my favourite brands & on a recent last minute diwali shopping expedition, i saw the scale of what they’ve managed to achieve & dug in a little; - anita lal founded good earth in the 90’s, indias OG luxury design house with ornate, opulent designs - by 2015 it was running strong with over 10 flagship stores & a steady clientele of older, affluent consumers buying fine tableware, interiors, wedding gifts - simran, anita lal’s daughter who was also involved with good earth spots a gap with a younger india & millennials wanting modern, minimal lifestyle goods at more accessible price points - sees space for a calmer, lighter, more affordable brand that speaks to “modern India” in a different tone - risk launching separate brand that could compete with Good Earth but launch nicobar anyway in 2016 - where good earth was maximalist, ornate, expensive & wedding gift territory, nicobar became minimal, breezy, modern, everyday luxury - they actively counter positioned from good earth stood aesthetically but kept the craft ethos, sustainability, no-compromise quality - opened 3 stores by 2017 (delhi, bombay, bangalore) - crafted an amazing product & customer experience with distinct store designs (and a signature neroli scent which is amazing) - expanded deliberately: only 7 stores by 2018 & never franchised - early fans are exactly who they thought their ICP to be, young professionals + design conscious shoppers looking for gifts and design friendly basics - expand post COVID & get to ~20 stores by 2024 - 20% of online revenue is already international - becomes shorthand for india’s new aesthetic: minimal, design forward & rooted but not nostalgic
