I have stopped getting surprised. Waiting it out. End is near (for some of us atleast) "Better to betray the world, than let the world betray me."

Boomer GC politicians are infinitely more based than all twitter blackpilled GCs. They looted and mindfucked the masses, secured their own bloodlines. And you’re still stuck on all that ultra-nationalism stuff, making edits like muh borat mata & jai javan jai kishan reee

Indian IT grew because the babus and boomer ministers of that era genuinely had no idea what the internet was. They thought the internet was just a fancy fax machine or some gora nerds' silly hobby. By the time they figured out there was money flowing through fibre cables and bank wires, the sector was already too big to strangle without serious political cost. That accidental window is closed. Today's babus read about AI, crypto, chip fabs, and compute in real time, just like we do. Not enough know-how to back any of it sincerely, but more than enough to slap rules, taxes, and licensing on the goose before it has the chance to lay the golden eggs.

India desperately needs another growth engine to attract investments and increase exports. IT is done.

Ironically, the civilization that expands into endless space will exist in a world of caverns and tunnels. Most realistic plans to avoid deadly radiation involve boring and tunneling, both into planetary surfaces and also asteroids. The "ships" may end up *being* asteroids.

Getting machines like this to the moon and mars, along with power to sustain them, is the ultimate test. Can you even imagine the scale of what we could build with tunnel bores and robotic cranes on the lunar or Martian surface using the regolith there?

I am not some expert but I will state a bald fact: India cannot progress or move unless: 1. There is elite stake in the country. 2. There is elite consensus on where we want to reach (my personal favourite is a Subcontinental nuclear armed Thailand, referring to life)

Sikkim and Goa are two Indian states that have industrialized to a great extent while still preserving their greenery and appeal as tourist destinations. Both states have crossed $8000 PCI and neither of them engage in kanging battles online.

After meeting with Modi, Rubio posts on X that "India has committed to purchasing $500 billion in U.S. goods over the next five years." This is a reminder that Washington's weaponized trade diplomacy under Trump is in many ways more coercive than even China’s much-criticized “debt-trap diplomacy.” Trade has become a blunt U.S. instrument of economic coercion. Trump’s heavy-handed approach to economic extraction is eroding U.S. alliances and strategic partnerships on which American power ultimately depends. x.com/SecRubio/statu…

The heterogeneous nature of Roman administration in the Principate left many local authorities across the empire who could take up the slack in crises. Centralization programs following reunification gradually eliminated those, hollowing the empire out by 5th century.

The most bizarre thing about Trumpism is Overseas Trumpists. The program is straightforward: America First, Everyone Else Last, and by America I mean "current citizens". It's not a happy Rightoid International club for Miles Cheongs, Beffs and so on. It's basic nationalism.

Feeling robbed of my path to citizenship right now after grinding a PhD and contributing to foundational AI + computing technologies for the United States for the past ~ 10 years. Feels like robbing top and technologists like me of the opportunity to achieve the American Dream.
