@Elohim_Gadol Please understand that Scripture was written 2000 years ago, to people living 2000 years ago. Immerse yourself in that context THEN read it. It's amazing and you'll realize how we've been lied to for generations.

They are unknowingly playing directly into the fulfillment of Scripture, and many of them cannot even discern it. It is surreal to watch people oppose Israel and even attack Christians who stand with Israel, all while professing Christianity themselves. In these days, the Bible is no longer merely words upon a page — prophecy is unfolding before our very eyes, and Scripture seems to leap alive with every passing headline.

@dorothymag @WWUTTcom I just need to know what Jesus said about worshipping her and then remember what he said about John the Baptist being greater than anyone born of a woman. Those two scriptures should end any mystery.

Satan has no problem with the Lord’s Prayer being prayed in the Rosary, as long as that person is praying to someone other than God, too. Jesus said, “No one comes to the Father but by me.” The Mary cult adds, “and Mary, other saints, and angels, too!”

@WWUTTcom Wrong we simply believe that all of us make up the mystical body of Christ and we are Gods family. So asking another part of the body to pray for me in love is completely normal for people that are part of the body. Bible says that one part can’t tell another part I don’t need u

I interviewed Heiser once and have followed most of his work. He was not a polytheist. Why are they attacking Michael Heiser now? Just a theory, but maybe it’s because if you believe what Heiser was saying, then you can’t be deceived by what’s coming.
Larry Sanger@lsanger

Michael Heiser made it cool for Christians to talk as if the Bible teaches many gods exist. I don't claim to know exactly what Heiser himself believed. But many of his followers cheerfully affirm polytheism and don't seem to realize it. Blog post dropped 👇

There is no Scripture from the actual Word of God that supports the Pope having any spiritual authority nor is there any reference to praying to Mary. This isn't hard folks; ONE Way, ONE Truth, Jesus Christ. ALL things are done through Him and Him alone.

Mr. Sanger is hung up on the Bible’s use of the word “elohim.” It can mean “gods,” and there are verses where God calls lesser elohim “gods.” Sanger wants to argue that He didn’t really mean it; God was simply calling those elohim “gods” because that’s what pagans called them. Mike Heiser was always careful to point out that Yahweh is ontologically unique, the only uncreated Being in the universe—not first among equals, like Baal or Zeus. In Hebrew, “elohim” always refers to a denizen of the spirit realm. Sometimes Yahweh, sometimes other, lesser beings. That’s just a fact. Larry Sanger is tearing down a straw man.

@timfrankovich Yes, there seems to be a coordinated effort to attack his work (and label those who agree) as heretical. But their real issue is the the Bible. Its says what it says.

This is quite an aside from my usual posts, but I feel it necessary. The sudden surge of "Christians" attacking Michael Heiser here on X is, at best, ignorant and misguided, and at worst, hateful and anti-Biblical. His works are scholarly and intriguing, not altering the Gospel, but adding (or rather, recovering) another aspect of it that deepens and enriches our love for God and His Word. (On the positive side of these new attacks, I'm finding new people to follow, those who respectfully defend the scholarship!)

The woke right are not beating the allegations that they are just the left with extra steps. This is no different than an “open marriage” (except in this case it’s open on one side) Which is a progressive leftist concept

THEORY If a man is a good husband and father, he should be allowed to have one (1) mistress, or at least a respectful and discreet “turn a blind eye” understanding from his wife An occasional indiscretion shouldn’t blow up a healthy family. That’s hateful feminist ideology

The bible acknowledges the existence of non-divine beings called “gods” but the first commandment establishes an absolute hierarchy that makes this distinction theologically crucial. The “sons of God” in Genesis 6 appear as distinct beings who interacted with humanity, and this connects directly to the broader biblical framework. When God divided nations among peoples, He did so “according to the number of the sons of God,” (Deut 32:8–9) suggesting these beings received administrative authority over different territories. Scripture warns against worshiping “the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven,” which God “has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven” (Deut 4:19–20)—implying these celestial powers were distributed to govern different nations. Psalm 82 depicts God presiding over a divine council “in the midst of the gods,” addressing beings called “gods, sons of the Most High,” yet declares they will “die like men” (Ps 82) establishing their creaturely, mortal status despite their divine designation. Here’s where the first commandment becomes the theological boundary: Israel receives the absolute prohibition: “You shall have no other gods before me.” (Exod 20:3–6) These other “gods” are real, created beings with genuine authority, but God identifies Himself as “a jealous God,” (Exod 20:3–6) demanding exclusive worship. The lowercase distinction matters: other beings may possess real power and legitimate governance roles, but they remain fundamentally subordinate to and distinct from the one God of Israel.

Michael Heiser has done immeasurable harm to the church. He has a cult-like following of people who have a completely unbiblical hermeneutic to interpret scripture.

My view really comes down to something extremely simple: if your theology causes you to say there are many actual gods (entities that really should be called gods), you’re wrong, a polytheist, and taking a fundamentally heretical position. If all you’re saying is that the pagans worshiped real entities that Scripture called “gods” (to clarify that the gentiles considered them such), then your position is not polytheism and you don’t really believe in multiple gods. You’re just philosophically confused.

Which of these, if any, do you think are true? (1) Michael Heiser believed in multiple gods. (2) Heiser believed in multiple elohim but not in multiple gods. (3) Belief in multiple gods is called polytheism. (4) Heiser (and those agreeing with him) are polytheists. (5) “Monotheism” should be redefined to include belief in multiple gods, as long as only one is supreme. (6) The traditional Christian view—that there is exactly one God and no other gods exist—is wrong about what the Old Testament teaches Be honest.
