Look past the diplomatic wrapping paper: this is a straight liquidity-for-lanes swap. Washington unfreezes billions to stop the domestic bleeding from global energy inflation, while Tehran gets an immediate financial bypass for its crippled economy. Cash is fungible and immediate; nuclear verification is slow, bureaucratic, and easily sabotaged.

@CMShehbaz Don't let the polite diplomatic phrasing fool you- Islamabad is terrified. Pakistan is trapped in a vice between an unpredictable US and aggressive Iran along with their own near bankrupt economy. A total regional meltdown torches Pak's own security grid and so the patch up deal.

I congratulate President Donald Trump on his extraordinary efforts to pursue peace and for holding a very useful and productive telephone call earlier today, with the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkiye, Egypt, the UAE, Jordan and Pakistan. Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir represented Pakistan in the telephone call and I greatly appreciate his tireless efforts during the entire process. The discussions provided a useful opportunity to exchange views on the current regional situation and how to move the ongoing peace efforts forward to bring lasting peace in the region. Pakistan will continue its peace efforts with utmost sincerity and we hope to host the next round of talks very soon.

@BRICSinfo A massive twist in the information war. By agreeing to relinquish its enriched uranium stockpile, Iran is throwing a bone to US hawks to lower the political temperature in the US Senate. But making a promise in a general statement is vastly different from putting it out of border

@RpsAgainstTrump Such statements are clear narrative warfare. This is a massive political red flag for the administration's "peace through strength" narrative. Cruz, Pompeo and Graham are coordinating a public firewall to trap the White House in its own rhetoric- Israeli propaganda assets?!

Senator Ted Cruz: “I am deeply concerned about what we are hearing about an Iran “deal,” being pushed by some voices in the administration... If the result of all that is to be an Iranian regime—still run by Islamists who chant “death to America”—now receiving billions of dollars, being able to enrich uranium & develop nuclear weapons, and having effective control over the Strait of Hormuz, then that outcome would be a disastrous mistake... President Trump believes in peace through strength, and his strong leadership has already made America much safer. He should continue to hold the line, defend America & enforce the red lines he has repeatedly drawn.”

This isn't just pressure from the markets- it's pressure from a fractured global alliance. The "dual blockade" architecture since April has crushed Iran's liquidity, but the collateral damage to global LNG and crude supply has left US allies in Europe and Asia completely exposed. Trump's largely negotiated peace memo is a direct response to a macro board that simply cannot sustain a choked Strait of Hormuz any longer.

This is a textbook asymmetric negotiation strategy by Iran. By splitting the ceasefire from the nuclear file, Iran is attempt to frontload its key operational imperatives: an immediate inject of $25B in liquidity and the lifting of the US naval blockade. Shifting the nuclear timeline back by 30-60 days gives the regime ultimate asset in geopolitics: time to reconstitute its networks while Washington's kinetic leverage cools off.

NYT: Iranian officials say Tehran agreed to “a memorandum of understanding that would stop the fighting and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.” The reported deal would release $25 billion in frozen Iranian assets, “halt fighting on all fronts, including in Lebanon,” and reopen Hormuz “without Iran charging any tolls.” Iranian officials also say nuclear negotiations would be delayed 30–60 days. The NYT notes it is “not clear” if this is the same proposal President Trump referenced publicly.
Mossad Commentary@MOSSADil

UPDATE: IRGC-linked Fars News claims US officials and mediators privately told Iran to ignore Donald Trump’s public posts and Truth Social rhetoric during indirect talks, describing his public stance as aimed at domestic audiences while negotiations behind closed doors remain far more pragmatic.

Rule #1 of asymmetric negotiation: The party with the most to lose domestically will always claim the biggest victory. While the IRGC brags about "forcing a surrender", the back-channel intelligence reality tells a different story. De-escalating a kinetic conflict always requires giving your adversary an idealogical off-ramp even if they use it to ppp champagne.

@BRICSinfo "Bibi's hair was on fire" isn't just a colorful leak; it's a reflection of a massive strategic decoupling. Israel wants the kinetic phase to continue until the threat is neutralized. Trump wants a grand diplomatic closure. Leverage is shifting entirely...Is US controlled by Bibi

@AJEnglish I am fairly suspicious this is a false flag op by the Russians given the fact that this war in Ukraine has reached a critical situation where Russia is desperate to bounce back and they have a good opportunity this time due to the Iran crisis. All they need is narrative support!

@MOSSADil Morera was a node in the Cuban military's stolen aid pipleline. By arresting a figure tied to GAESA and stripping her residency, the US is signalling that it will treat Cuban regime linked financial networks as a direct national security target and not just a diplomatic nuisance.

🇺🇸 U.S. Sec of State Marco Rubio: “Adys Lastres Morera is the sister of the Executive President of GAESA, the Cuban military-controlled financial conglomerate that steals millions in aid for the Cuban people at the behest of the regime. Morera was managing real estate assets and living in Florida, while also aiding Havana's communist regime, until I terminated her permanent resident status. I am pleased to announce that today, she was arrested and is now in the custody of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. There will be nowhere on this Earth - much less in our country - where foreign nationals who threaten our national security can live lavishly.”

@arabnews @POTUS @NATO This isn't just about Poland. Every time the US talks about both cutting and adding troops in Europe at the same time, it's testing how far it can push NATO's eastern flank without committing to a permanent new order. Keeping rivals guessing is better than a clean doctrine!

@FT This isn't just a private equity story- it's a signal that the West is quietly exiting control of China's digital backbone. When the smart money players start cashing out, the real question is who replaces them and on what terms?

The Great Betrayal: How Trump Walked Into Beijing, Showered Xi With Flattery, and Quietly Sold Taiwan — America’s Friend of 75 Years — For Whatever Deal He Could Get It didn’t happen with a treaty or a declaration. It happened overnight — in excessive praise heaped on a man who wasn’t impressed, two days of pointed silence, and a flight home on which an American president told the world he had sold out a democratic nation of 23 million people. What comes next should alarm every democracy on earth. #Geopolitics #Trump #Taiwan #China

@AJEnglish @Katmyu Beijing isn't just objecting to a call- it's trying to establish a new rule: US may not even speak to Taiwan without China's permission. That's the real escalation here. Since 1979 US avoided formal diplomatic recognition but it never let Beijing police US contact with Taiwan.

Last week, America didn’t declare war on Taiwan. It did something worse: it quietly told Beijing that Taiwan’s survival is now a negotiable trade chip. In Beijing, Trump: – Froze $12B in pre‑approved arms – Asked China’s permission to arm Taiwan – Publicly threatened Taiwan over “independence” – Refused to say if the US would defend it I reconstructed the summit step‑by‑step — using open sources, official readouts, and Taiwan’s own panicked response. This is how a “deal trip” became the most consequential strategic retreat since the Cold War: #China #Taiwan #Trump

@StateDept Sad to see another strategic delay to prolong this war. It is evident since the very beginning that both US & Iran have not agreed upon each other's main conditions for peace. The US knows that Iran won't agree to a no nuclear condition, US delays their assaults just to buy time.
