The Vietnamese revolutionary Ho Chi Minh warned the US that it could bomb as much as it liked, but it would never win the war.
According to Ho Chi Minh, his people were fighting a patriotic war that they were prepared to endure for as long as necessary.
The US eventually conceded defeat and withdrew from Vietnam in humiliation.
Iran has issued a similar warning to the US.
For Tehran, the current conflict represents an existential war, which they are ready to fight indefinitely as they vow never to surrender.
It is clear that Trump is insufficiently versed in history; otherwise, he would have learned from America’s past failures.
Coercive military measures cannot subdue resolute patriots who are prepared to defend their sovereign territory with unyielding determination.
