Hearts released a statement this week questioning how the game was allowed to finish due to a pitch invasion, however VAR have released the audio where it was made clear that it was hearts who wanted to end the game… 😭🤦🏻‍♂️

@CLHibs I think its more the enormity and magnitude of the decisions in the final week of a very tight championship . They completely changed the narrative going into final game.

If you go with KMI decisions this season, (and assuming Hearts scored the penalty in Well game) they’d be 1pt worse off (dropping 2pts against rangers and 1 against Saints) while Celtic would be 2pts worse off (from Well game) meaning Celtic win league by 1 pt. Why the outrage?

@Brightonian_ Good for someone south of the border to see Celtic fans for what they really are. They'll tell you they're the best and friendliest fans in the world with all their ideologies. They have a real nasty, entitled element in their support thats out of control. Think you just met one

@thatchrisfeeney Its not incompetence. Its years of direct and indirect intimidation from your heirarchy and that nasty uncontrollable element within your support that have never really known defeat.

Incompetence does not equate to corruption. This cluster fuck has nothing to do with Celtic, outwith a tiny minority of over exuberant fans invading the pitch. Celtic are champions. End of.

@wick1960 @chris_sutton73 @Record_Sport I think much of the anger comes from the var calls that all helped Celtic in the week leading up to that fixture. A 4 point swing due to bad var calls and a complete change in circumstances for the decider. Its not hard to understand why hearts are furious. This won't go away.

@Danbo1967 @andymuirhd Other real fans are asking why the game was called early? Why did Derek Mcinnes want his players off the pitch? The sfa audio changes nothing in that regard. There was a health and safety issue from 97:30 onwards. That cannot be denied. Celtic must be severely punished here.

What we must do though is ensure your club is appropriately punished for the scum element in your support getting the game called for safety reasons. I'd rather the focus was on fir park errors.

@snipaher @GrahamSpiers "Happy"? Not sure I'd use that word. I don't think they had any option given the serious health and safety concerns they had for their staff.

@GrahamSpiers were really arguing this much about 30 seconds, it's got a bit out of hand this, compare and contrast with the coverage of a Celtic coach actually getting attacked at Ibrox. Hearts were happy to finish, that should be the end of it.

I do have one issue with the SFA statement. They appear to believe that, because the game clock shows 53.07 (98.07) at conclusion, Celtic v Hearts was fully played out, no premature ending. But Callum Osmand’s goal was scored at 52.30 (97.30) and was immediately followed by fans on the pitch. So this SFA claim doesn’t make sense. The outcome of the match was not in doubt but the SFA can hardly claim that “more than the minimum additional time of eight minutes” were added. Not unless they mean that both teams could actually have played on with fans on the field.

Honestly, this is all just becoming a little sad to see. Especially from normally rational people. For the record, Andy is a sound guy. With rangers* as city rivals, we're used to sore losers but the hysteria this last week has been something else. The handball at Motherwell has been proven to be a handball. The final game has been proven to have been concluded, not abandoned (as if it matters with a 2 goal advantage) and no Hearts player was assaulted. Yes, some were subjected to some hurty words but the only person to raise their hands on that pitch was Shankland (on camera!). Its about time your fans (and others) tried growing up and acting like adults. Hearts lost because their away form crumbled, while celtic finished she season strong. On the final day, McInnes set up hoping for a draw, and lost. There was no conspiracy, Hearts weren't cheated. They just weren't good enough at the end of the day. They could have admitted this and aimed to improve next year but (like rangers*) have decided to make excuses instead. This suits Celtic because (like rangers* over the last 10 years), they won't feel the need to improve, since they think they were already good enough to win. If Hearts want to compete at this level, their fans are going to have to learn that sometimes, things don't months end you want them to.
