@tanpukunokami I was made to go once because a close family member wanted to visit, I'll probably never go back because I'm not allowed to stay. 子供の頃、あそこに住みたいと思っていた。今は、少し距離を置いたほうがいいと思う。

A foreigner posted something like: “Japan isn’t worth visiting. It only has anime.” Honestly, that made me really sad. Please tell me again: What do you think are Japan’s most beautiful places to visit? What parts of Japanese culture do you love? Let’s share the real charm of Japan together.🇯🇵

@PulpoNewman Most of the people taking these videos are airsofters or gun otaku, they have done it a million times. Just not with a real one

The thing that sticks out to me is all these videos I've seen this weekend of Japanese dudes handling an M4 for the first time, they all seem to handle it as if they had experience. They shoulder it properly, have a decent stance, know how the weapon functions, etc. I hand a rifle to a first time American shooter and they look all kinds of fucked up

@lukerduker12321 @SnepOfTheWest Japanese isn't as tonal, but it is tonal; there's a high and a low register. Hitting the pitch shifts properly is something the people who really want to sound native hyperfixate on, even.

@SnepOfTheWest It's because it isn't tonal. In Chinese and Korean the way you pronounce things changes its meaning. Japanese is more Western in that it ain't tonal at all.

@Rattapoom_K If you go full chris costa thumb over bore c clamp on an A1 one you get a small third degree burn on your thumb, ask me how I know (those vent holes aren't tiny and it's one of the reasons they changed the handguard)

I think I have miscommunicated so allow me to be more clear. I find the A1 triangular handguard to be very natural for a C clamp and the geometry even work as some sort of hand stopper.

Given the prevailing trend of C-Clamp stance I am now a believer of Colt's original M16 triangular handguard. Either Eugene Stoner is even more of a genius or we have came full circle... Maybe both.

@MorlockP I used to keep an RPD under my bed just because I thought it'd be funny to see in the paper (pic of an RPD for those who don't know)

ⓘ Dogs don't have thumbs
some people live in such an absolute bubble like the idea "pick up the AR-15 that's 8 feet from me, pull the charging handle once, then make sure the cell phone is charged so I can get a selfie with corpse" didn't even pop into their heads

えっその州事にルールが違うならどうやってアメリカ合衆国としてルールをコントロールするの?
William Wallace Welker@Will_W_Welker

@buran_1120 Sort of. Many laws are that same in all states but a few laws are different in each state. For example, in Idaho we can carry a gun on our belt with no permit at all.

@VikingRobVWO the ZB/Bren series is going to be your most famous, here fwiw too in a military context how a weapon is actually employed has a lot to do with what the weapon is categorized as; the difference between a light machine gun and an automatic rifle is often just doctrinal
