April 19th 1993 marks the final day of the Waco siege, also known as the Waco massacre. A 51-day standoff between the FBI along side Texas state law enforcement against the Branch Davidians in Waco, Texas.
4 ATF agents were killed by the Davidians the day of the initial raid on February 28, 1995.
By the final day when a fire created by law enforcement destroyed the compound around 80 Branch Davidians and about 28 of their children were massacred.
What lead the US government to commit such an atrocity? The ATF heard rumors that the Branch Dividians were in possession of, and manufacturing illegal firearms. And because the group isolated itself from society other rumors of child abuse and more also began to circulate.
When the ATF first arrived with the warrant on February , they were met with the Davidians large arsenal stockpile, shortly after the ATF killed 5 of the Branch Davidians dogs.
During the 51 day raid, psychological tactics were also used on the Davidians. Loud music and audio of rabbits being slaughtered was used to keep the inhabitants awake. As well as cutting their utilities, CEVs were used to bash their vehicles and the walls of their compound, public embarrassment and shame directed toward their leader David Koresh, and so forth.
The attack thus leading the Davidians to confirm their initial fears, that they were under attack by EVIL FORCES.
