Liverpool has amazing pub architecture. The Vines aka "The Big House".
Edwardian Baroque design at the corner of Lime Street and Copperas Hill.
Commissioned in 1907 by the brewing giant Robert Cain, the pub was designed by Walter W. Thomas. Thomas was the same architect behind the Grade I listed Philharmonic Dining Rooms, and he brought the same level of opulence to this site. The building is Grade II* listed, placing it in the top 5.8% of all protected historic buildings in England.

@brexit_sham Agreed. Been saying it for months. An obvious attack line on Farages Brexit legacy

Said it before and again, the Blue Labour folly of appeasing Farage was always doomed to fail. If Starmer has any remaining political nous, he must fight the next general election on a ticket to rejoin the European Union.
To coin a phrase, it is the will of the people.

“There’s not a single Remain seat where Reform and Reform councillors have got more than 10 per cent share.” The local elections show that people are still voting down the lines set out in the 2016 European referendum, says @FraserNelson, columnist for The Times.

@LukeJohnsonRCP It’s anti competitive . How can a legitimate business compete with a business that does not need to make a profit?

I've been involved in multi-site high street retailing for around 40 years. There has been a sharp increase in new operators who I believe cannot pay the bills through legitimate trading. These are criminals in plain sight, but the authorities are so pathetic they do nothing.

Our high streets are full of businesses with “links to organised crime” but what does that mean? I asked a gangster, and wrote about it for @TheCriticMag (Link below)
