@timkhan007 @krassenstein No, because unlike what the us thinks, europe isn’t rushing to make literally everything themselves. We know we need trade and aren’t acting like retards about it

BREAKING: In response to Trump giving China a deadline of tomorrow before raising their tariffs to 104%, China just stated that they will “fight until the end”. Looks like China will likely massively increase tariffs on US farmers who voted for Trump. Are we winning yet?

@shitbeast_arc @SpencerHakimian We dominate digital so we do t need to change anything there rather than continue to innovate. So that combined with our future manufacturing prowess we dominate the global economy

@timkhan007 @SpencerHakimian It is also in digital services. Maybe a little less, but still image-driven. You know, that huge sector you dominate globally and have a huge trade misbalance with the EU The sector Trump doesn’t mention when he cries about the “unfair Europeans” But you knew this, right?

So how exactly does this work? The small business that orders $100,000/week from their Chinese factory on auto refill gets a $104,000 invoice from U.S. customs to release their inventory or it gets dumped into the East River? How is this actually going to work? Small businesses have zero liquidity to pay these extortion fees. Layoffs immediately?

@BnejiBneji5 @krassenstein On a purchasing power parity basis, even if the entire LatAm African markets completely switched to china it would still account for less than 20% of us trade

@edgetiago1 @ConflictDISP Our debt has a secret weapon of being the reserve currency that can simply be wiped away anytime if we choose to do so. It will cause inflation but we can tackle that by simply causing global recession for other countries

YOU CAN'T BE THAT STUPID, SURELY!!!
@timkhan007 @ConflictDISP Really? The US debt begs to differ, Germany is one of the "poor" European countries considering to withdrawal 1.200 tons from the US federal reserve. If China decides to sell their US treasury bonds, it's goodbye America, for good.

We need to let Ukraine go for the sake of our economy and peace in Europe. Yes, they have some resources, but Ukrainians are way too mentally unstable and cannot be reasoned with. Europe will be in a much better place economically with Ukraine back under Russian control, like it used to be.

@BnejiBneji5 @krassenstein That is exactly why EU is now exploring additional tariffs on China and if you think Africans or LatAm countries can replace the purchasing power of US consumers than I have a bridge to sell you

Holy fuck. Vietnam, our best growing trade partner in SEA, who invested in helping us diversify away from Chinese supply chains, offered the US a zero tariff deal. And Trump's team ***REJECTED*** it. Wtf?! How are countries even supposed to respond here. Does the Trump admin even want deals?!
Jake Randall@JakeRandall

Vietnam’s zero tariff offer has been rejected by the Trump administration. This offer “means nothing to us.” Via CNBC: cnbc.com/amp/2025/04/07…

There are currently three other alternate card payment networks in the world that operate on a global basis. Chinese UnionPay which initially partnered with diners club network to have international processing capabilities but now operates on stand alone network, Russian MIR that works abroad through a partnership with Union Pay, India’s RuPay which works abroad through partnership with discover/diners club network. Note only China has been able to establish their own stand alone network due to the huge amount of investment required to do so

@ConflictDISP Ha ha yeah I will believe it when I see it. Who will they partner with to bring the network online at global stage because they do t have the funds to establish a brand new global network from scratch

I work in the bicycle industry and the impact tariffs are having on my business are profound. The same bike that people were paying $4,000 for during the pandemic is on sale this month for $1,300. The same bike that people were paying $3,495 for during the pandemic is on sale this month for $1,999. Bikes built and manufactured in the United States are selling out. Bikes manufactured overseas are reducing their prices to stay competitive with US manufacturers. Tariffs are definitely impacting my industry and it’s been absolutely amazing for my business. Thank you @POTUS

BREAKING: In a shocking moment, Donald Trump claims without any evidence that the EU "was formed to really do damage to the United States in trade," and says their offer of zero for zero tariffs for cars and industrial goods is not enough.
