I realize there's hundreds of posts on this so I'm essentially preaching to the choir, but I don't know how any of us look at this clip and can't just realize we were so robbed of something that was going to be great however long it lasted.

@ch1zzy_tw33t @zombiemanjay I’d disagree. Better chin might mean he won’t get knocked out but his body (Van’s speciality) will be there to be hit and it’ll hurt even more when he tries to take a round off because he’s gassed like he’s done before

@zombiemanjay Pantojas chin is so much better than Tairas tho, so Van von’t be able to inflict the same amount of damage as he did to Taira

Would I be crazy for saying that Taira was the harder matchup for Van than Pantoja? Pantoja still is as hittable as Taira but he’s just more willing to get plodding foward but his wrestling is worse than Taira’s. Idk tho I still got Van to win the rematch like I had the first time.

@N0331Hello Agreed but I think finish. Because Pantoja throws the kitchen sink in the first round he sometimes gasses for a round. Probably won’t be good to be gassed with a guy who works the body well

Pantoja poses similar questions to Taira, but is a far worse shot wrestler, made up for by being a lot more insistent on the feet. Going by his trouble with Erceg, though, I think Van takes a wide decision.

When I saw Joshua Van immediately grabbing an overhook and also using his butterfly guard I knew he was incredibly prepared and was going to win the fight. He obviously understood the way Tatsuro would beat him would be the back takes. Scrambled wisely without giving his back and tuned Taira up on the feet with the boxing. Legendary fight and incredible performance by Van. #UFC328

@JakeGerberMMA Daniel Pineda is getting massively overlooked as a coach. Not necessarily by you but by MMA fans in general.

The most impressive part of Joshua Van’s story is the speed at which he had improved. He’s just 24 and is more active than anybody but you can see the developments every fight still. It’s crazy.

Joshua Van gets the 5th round TKO after a war. Close fight until then but it was an early stoppage, idk what the commentators are talking about. That's a championship fight. Good win for Van that should set up the Pantoja rematch #ufc
