Whoever thought it a good idea to start a bonfire on the basketball court last night, it took years to get these facilities funded and there is no budget for repairs. Thank you to those locals who cleared up the mess this morning.

“...Please be advised that the team will be working across around 50 playgrounds on Saturday to make sure they are safe, padlocks, and old signs and excess tape removed. It will take a while and we ask for patience as we open every location.” 2/3

From Brent (paraphrased): “Further to Government guidance, we will re-open children’s playgrounds, MUGA’s and outdoor gyms to parks users this weekend. All playground equipment and outdoor gym equipment will have been fully checked prior to use to ensure that it is safe.” 1/3

This applies to Tiverton Green too. The bins don’t get emptied until the next day so please take your rubbish home rather than leave for foxes to tear apart.

Longer opening hours for Paddington Cemetery on Willesden Lane. Thanks to all the volunteers who open and close the gates and maintain this invaluable green space in Kilburn. 🙏

Dog walkers might have something to say about imposing PSPO in Paddington Cemetery where dogs have been exercised off the lead for years. Will now be a £100 spot fine if the order proceeds.

What behaviour would this tackle on Tiverton Green? Dog poo remains an issue with a (very) few persistent offenders. Some damage to and litter around the picnic tables, occasional drinking and weed smoking. Hard to see a park officer catching these in the act though.
