We need to call privatization what it is: adding a profit tax on to a public good. A public post office puts all it's resources towards delivering mail. A privatized post office will diver a large chunk of it's income to shareholders. In what universe is that better?

squishy “safety” rhetoric to defend power and the status quo is all these dead-eyed university admins have. Again, no one in liberal circles even bothers disputing the protestors’ demands on substance. It’s just vibes, fake tears and HR-speak followed by paramilitary crackdowns.

In response, U of Minnesota closed down twelve surrounding buildings, issued a “safety” advisory, and sent a campus-wide email claiming building closures were “to ensure the safety” of students and university workers.
