Thank you for all your comments. You know I try to use these images for my therapy, as body dysmorphia is real. I still see myself as fat. So I really do appreciate the comments that addressed this question directly, and also well-meant advice. However those being mean, go away.

Many people are bad drivers, and I'm starting to realize that they are probably those most impressed by FSD. They are OK with FSD doing strange things that might confuse or upset other road users. Personally, I can’t accept that. As Tesla makes abundantly clear (in court, less so in its marketing), I’m the one responsible for the car. Therefore, its driving reflects on me, and I refused to let it negatively affect other road users. Now, I'm aware that, on average, humans are not great at driving. They kill and injure people all the time. However, no matter how impressive a level 2driver assist system v14 is, it has yet to prove that it is even as good as an average driver. To be viable, it needs to be better than the best human driver. That's what people are missing. As I stated when v14 came out, FSD is now "feature complete". It knows how to do everything related to driving, but it still has a long way to go to be as safe than human WITHOUT human supervision.

As Tesla moves to remove safety monitors inside some cars in Austin's Robotaxi project, the narrative from the Tesla cult is shifting. The comments on X under this article, which they don't even read, are fascinating. You can see them repeatedly claiming that 'we don't know if Tesla is responsible for those crashes'. This is such a dumb take on several levels: 1- That's Tesla's fault. Tesla is the only automaker reporting ADS crashes to NHTSA who redacts the entire narrative of each crash. I'm sure Tesla is not responsible for some of these crashes, but it's sus that it redacts all of them while no other company does that. 2- Even if Tesla is not responsible for some crashes, it is not normal to be involved in so many crashes. It looks like about a crash every 40,000 miles and that's with safety supervisors preventing more. Tesla is rushing to remove the safety supervisor because it badly needs a "win" in autonomy because Waymo is doing laps around Tesla in autonomous ride-hailing and other automakers are starting to catch up on consumer vehicles with autonomous features.

More and more people are starting to see this. Many others and I have warned that it was going this way for 5 years. Instead of taking the warning and criticism for what it was, we were labeled as "haters, shorts, FUDters," etc. It all comes down to Elon buying into his own cult of personality and the sycophants. If it wasn't for that, Tesla might have been able to self-correct.

Rivian has been getting serious about autonomy in the last 2 years and now they are showing us what they got. In short, with the next 2 quarters, I could see Rivian's capabilities in consumer vehicles being similar to Tesla's.
