The holidays are supposed to be a happy occasion, sadly for one member it has been stressful. Imagine losing all of the money deposits you already spent for what was supposed to be a joyous & special occasion!

Layoffs are always difficult, and as such should be handled with care, compassion & transparency. This has not been our experience.

Today @actblue laid off 54 employees, 32 of which were in our bargaining unit. Layoffs unfairly punish union employees who are both not responsible for the current financial difficulties & have invested considerable effort into making @actblue what it is today

We’re still in our marathon week of bargaining. In solidarity & hope of a fair contract, we’ve all changed our Slack profile pictures to our logo!

Last week’s action (turning off cameras & displaying our logo) had 100% participation from our unit! Today, we’re entering a marathon week of bargaining with @forrespect. We ask management to put forward fair proposals with raises for all & increased vacation days.
