@AdemLuz Of course one's failures are their own. The failures that arise from one person's actions in the other's eyes are borne from the failure in that other's mind, using the conception of that person and the expectations weighed against them.

Everyone is always rooting for you. Your parents want you to be a great son. Wife wants you to be a great husband. Your boss wants you to be a slam dunk hire. Every first date you’ve ever been on they’ve been rooting for you to get laid. Every time you started to tell a joke people hoped it would have a hilarious punch line. Your proximity to anyone is a reflection of themself, meaning the deck is never stacked against you, and your failures are completely your own

I've been looking through my old videos to make some banger shorts and it's made me realize I'm both immensely proud and painfully embarrassed by so much of my content.

"He is fundamentally a pathetic character." Bro, no, that's not how Vader has ever been portrayed in anything Vader is a tragic character but he's also a force of nature. He's terrifying and monumentally powerful, even as reduced and ragged as he is.

Vador est censé être une punition pour Anakin. Il est fondamentalement un personnage pathétique. En faire une force de la nature inarretable ou même une inspiration du côté obscure dans le 7 est hors de propos

it's really incredible how thin the line was between alchemy and heresy back in the medieval period. you could either be a renowned alchemist or a witch. a respected physician or a judaizing heretic

This statement about the powerful becoming weak and pathetic reminded me of an interesting anecdote from the French Revolution. When Madamme du Barry, one of King Louis XV's mistresses, was arrested and charged with treason, she broke the mold. Instead of quietly going to the guillotine on December 8th 1793, she broke down and cried out. She pleaded with the crowd and begged for mercy. It so unnerved the crowd that the executioners hurried her under the blade because they didn't want it all turning against them. The crowds preferred to see their nobles marched to the guillotine with a stiff upper lip and their heads held high.

In The Boys finale, Homelander had to look powerless according to Eric Kripke “Yeah, it was really important to us for Homelander to at least experience a little bit of time powerless.” “People have asked me, ‘Well, why don’t you send him out in the world powerless, wouldn’t that be the ultimate punishment?’ “I’m like, it would, until he gets his hands on some more Compound V, and then you’re back to where you started.” “So, he cannot walk out of that room alive, but we can spend time with him powerless to really reveal what everyone’s been saying all season, which is, ‘Take away those powers and you are nothing.’ “And he’s so cowardly and blubbering and pathetic, as are most strong men when you remove their power and they’re and they’re faced with their imminent death, they rarely handle it bravely.”

@HariSel57511397 No, the reason it is a bad idea to humiliate your villains is that chuds, idiots, and narcissists identify with them too hard or wish to lick their boot so much that theywill throw a tantrum over it.

TEST POLL choose any of the options. afterwards, *please* screenshot the poll from your twitter (so that i can see that you voted in it) and reply with it below. i suspect twitter's poll system is fucking up, and what to test it.
