🧵 Yesterday we made the difficult decision to stop serving traditional small businesses at @brexHQ. Brex remains deeply committed to serving startups, so let me explain how we got to this (painful) decision, and why it allows us to serve startups even better.

@pedroh96 @brexHQ this wasn't disclosed in the offboarding email OR the FAQ. If Brex says the account is ACTIVE until August 15, then keep it ACTIVE. It's absolutely crippling for a small biz to not be able to take payments in the interim. Not only a dick move, but PROBABLY a legal liability.

@pedroh96 @brexHQ Hey Pedro, it's messed up for @brexHQ to disable features on these accounts that are still "active" until August 15. Brex is my business' only bank. I can't deposit checks anymore, and opening an account with another bank takes 2-4 business days. So Brex is damaging my business.
