From 28–30 April 2026,IOM in coordination with the National Coordination Mechanism on Migration (NCM)-with support from @IOMDevFund, convened stakeholders to harmonize migration data, review national progress on GCM through quarterly meeting, and prepare for #IMRF2026.

With support from @DanishMFA, IOM Uganda met district and community stakeholders in Kaboong to review and validate findings from the Transhumance Tracking Tool (TTT) survey on seasonal pastoralism and livestock mobility in the Karamoja region.

The TTT collected data on herders’ origins and destinations, herd size and composition, as well as movement timing across Amudat, Kaabong, and Moroto, ensuring the evidence reflects transhumant community realities.

By delivering near‑real‑time mobility data, the Tool supports early warning, conflict prevention, and climate‑informed decision‑making for pastoral communities, authorities, and humanitarian actors.
