Reminiscing on drives down to KZN for the holidays to spend with my late grandma, listening to hype sessions mixtapes. Rhyming my own shit in my head along to the songs and hoping to be just as dope as the MCs I was enamoured with back then. Glad to say the kid would be proud.

You're not the same self as you present online partly because of the medium but also the in person audience you present in front of isn't the same as the potential mass audience you communicate to online. The context and environment differ and so naturally must your behaviour.

In no way ignorant of the tension we as people introduce in the advent of LLM adoption due to the manner & nature in which we engage with each other in our relationships. There's an obvious need satisfaction for a market segment that uses "AI" and that's cause of us.

Most of this shit really is just zero-sum. The basic founding principle of this system is that for someone to have a lot then someone else has to have very little. That others choose pro-sociality doesn't negate that most do favour in preference having more at others' expense.

Honestly? I feel like its on some "death becomes her" type shii. Music becomes ingrained in you to the point that you find a way, naturally, to do it at whatever cost. Forever isn't even a measure of time cause this is just something you do regardless of whatever else going on.

Important to understand when you realize that "mainstream" in itself has always been a niche that was essentially supported by the various media that had access to the audience-market that the artist was exposed to via PR. The mega stars we know now are niche in that sense.

The goal shouldn’t be to scale to “mainstream” because the mainstream is over. It’s done. Instead, focus on becoming a superstar within your niche and really own that community.
