(0.004% of TX students) Only a few kids from many schools here & there, not 23,000 from one district Fixed costs remain the same, i.e. if a teacher loses 1 kid/class, you can’t fire that teacher because she still has 25 kids in her classes So there is no money saving, there is no reduction in staff You just spent $1 BILLION to help 0.004% of kids. That’s dumb

@aggieben Not what I was suggesting but thanks for the ad hominem attack. The preamble defined the framers intent and “promote the general welfare” implies some social responsibility. The reach can be argued but I don’t think you can say it’s zero.
