@JohnB1806 @billbarnwell Steelers were actually pretty solid in the red zone in 2025. Nearly a 59% TD rate, good for 11th in the league. That matters way more when evaluating a QB than some stupid QBR stat. Doesn’t matter if it was a 3-yard or 10-yard TD pass, if it put points on the board.

@billbarnwell And yet this shows how QBR is the worst stat to grade QB play. Steelers Def by the rankings massively declined. Not a great Oline or a dynamic run game, and no WR2. ARods experience, his arm, and his knowledge as a tactician was a huge reason why they won the AFC North.

Something to keep in mind about this Rodgers update today is that the team almost certainly told Rodgers they were going to do this if he hadn’t made an official decision by this date because yesterday was the last day to file this kind of tender because of the comp pick formula ending yesterday. So if Rodgers is upset by this he has no one else to blame but himself, but the fact that he allowed it to get passed this date tells me he probably doesn’t mind it. I think he was only considering playing for the Steelers anyway & I don’t think the money was a big issue for him, either. Another thing this confirms is that he Steelers do want Rodgers back this season, so if you’re hoping the Steelers tell Rodgers no thanks & decide to roll with the younger guys, I would say the only way Rodgers isn’t on the team this year is if he decides to retire at this point, which isn’t impossible but I still think is unlikely.

Yep. He knows that offense extremely well, I'm sure whatever additional plays and verbiage added he has already been studying and learning. He definitely gets far better treatment that fits his needs in California which he's actually stated many times. Him signing officially just to please the fans and media is ridiculous. The team clearly knows his intentions and are ok with him signing on his timeline. Absolutely agree the Steelers garbage ass facility.
