There's one argument that has been glaringly absent from the #StopKillingGames discourse: customers can spend THOUSANDS of $$$ on games, not just 60$. A 2 years support is not reasonable when there are items sold at a premium.

@HiddenNinja25K @videogames_EU They're actually arguing towards politicians with the fact that they're censoring wrongthink for free (a lot of it is illegal in Europe), and so diminishing their control would increase the amount of bad content.

@videogames_EU #StopKillingGames #StopDestroyingVideoGames These #LobbyistGroups and their members might also use "kids and youth" as an excuse why Video Games should not be owned and preserved, but they are the ones that love to brainwash kids and youth and making them addicted to Gambling.

What's the opinion of the choir? I know Mecha fans mostly hate all mecha games, but from those who like both things... how is it?

I was given some stats about previous EU initiatives that passed and how many signatures were discarded. It looks like the low end was about 100k and the high end was about 250k. I suspect we'll be closer to the high end, so every legit signature helps.

Enshittification is so bad that Mortal Kombat X (10) is pulling 1/3rd the number of players of 12. #StopKillingGames won't solve everything but a basic level of protection is pretty much needed.

The real kicker is Mortal Kombat 1 (which is the 12th, a reboot), that pull in less players than Mortal Kombat 11. If there was nothing to #StopKillingGames, why wouldn't companies want to avoid such very bad situations by killing the previous game?

@accursedfarms mentioned multiple times that 'gamers' are most likely to misinterpret #StopKillingGames, and I started to see a lot more posts about canceled games. They wouldn't be affected since they were never sold. You can work 5 years on a canned project. Fix your industry.
