@clhubes I had so many vivid dreams about doing this as a kid that I'm sure they just confused dreams and reality. Kinda blame the Willy Wonka movie.

@GHMansfield At first I read this as they were offering to steady the wheelchair when the bus moved for some reason. But OMG, they wanted to use it as a grab-bar for themselves 😳😳😡

Stranger on bus: “Can I hold the handles of your wheelchair when the bus moves?” Me: “There’s a grab bar on the bus to hold on.” Stranger: “I’d prefer this (my chair handle).” (Bus moves & stranger tips my chair backwards) Grabbing a wheelchair without consent is dangerous.
