Why did no one tell me Plague Tale: Innocence was so damned good?!?!? The atmosphere is just that perfect mix of grim and apocalyptic, with a hint of hope. The character work draws you in and delivers guy punches. And the voice acting is on point!

It's been a rough week for me, but at least Civ7 arrived to soothe me through the worst bits. Is there anything more healing than abusing Deity AI? You can sail up rivers now...

Amazing how quickly the health karma fairy struck after my mildly celebratory post yesterday. Just about almost feeling better now, and the weekend is *checks notes* pretty much over. Fucking fuck. Ah well. Onwards, and with more careful carb intake.

I cannot overstate how weird it is that after 3+ years of a worsening health condition, I get days when I feel 'normal'. By contrast I feel dangerously powerful, capable of world conquest. Start of my villain arc?

@AndrewDMth The best thing is as you say, that you don't feel wiped out afterwards. 💪Sometimes a big word count is like dumping water from a bucket, and the following days are then a dry spell.

@writing_steve It’s not often I hit that sort of word count. Steady pace is better than rare word counts. But I won’t complain when it happens!

I wrote 6000 words today, and now I’m back at it tonight. How far am I gonna get? Place your bets now!
