@Gamer_Girl_Nowa i fucked with this deck a ton on MD way back. shit was SO saucy and i miss it
English

@BlackFoxHS @jen_tcg you can't do this because azalea needs light/dark for materials. you can do something like this with zeke, instead.
English

@jen_tcg Zero summon Raye and Roze to pop, Raye summon Kagari. Kagari chain link 1 target Linkage, banish Lemnisgate chain link 2. Link Kagari and Roze into Azalea to pop again, if you pop the extra monster zone activate Roze in grave to reborn and chain linkage for Amatsu to pop AGAIN

@lilicodetalker i would kill like every deck i love via banlist if it meant i could keep playing tear.

@demonic36169 tbh this is a pretty good point to make in general actually
if im speaking only about ygo itself, nowadays at least im not overly stubborn but this is making me reflect a lot on when ive been stubborn about random shit (mostly to my detriment)
English

@Rhymestyle @TrevorAllenMD bingo. ygo players get really annoyingly prideful about not playing meta to the point of being toxic, very very often lol
i feel like there's an insecurity about it sometimes, but no one cares tbh, just play what you like
English

@TrevorAllenMD i dont go around screaming "HAHA I DONT PLAY META". Thats my point. I'm saying ppl who pretend they're above everyone cuz they dont play meta but then still play combo negate slop are annoying.
English

this is what I was saying yesterday. It'll always be someone with a "I DONT PLAY META HAHA" name and then you see shit like this. LIKE JUST PLAY THE GAME. YOU DONT NEED STUPID LABELS. MFs will pretend to be high and mighty that they dont play tier 1 then still do the same shit.
Sepia@SepiaVoid
"I'm not a meta slave like you" ahh deck
English

@Evilcon27 the answer to this is that you aren't meeting yugioh where it is and are putting an unfair expectation. in mtg even though the turns count is higher, game determinative things happened in those early turns and people are just not skilled enough to notice
English

@zeroBackwards What i mean is i’m sick of getting one turn and that’s it. I haven’t had this issue with magic so far.
English

@Evilcon27 im not sure what you're saying here. what do you mean lol
English

@zeroBackwards @JJPM_YT And yet i’m not one for getting Yamaha’ed after having to wait 20 mins of my opponents turn just for one go.
English

@Evilcon27 @JJPM_YT feature, not a problem. yugioh has massive amounts of interaction within a lower turn count instead of spreading them out into several turns. it's a different philosophy, yes, but not a problem when you meet the game where is instead of where you think it should be.
English

@JJPM_YT I stopped playing cause of the game has a rampant problem with constant chain summoning. Like i get one fucking turn. That’s it
English

@BillyFromKorea @lilicodetalker every time I see jarel pro winston mentioned I get mad again at how he got robbed by language barrier issues and translation at worlds during his hero run with stall exodia in inzektor format
English

@lilicodetalker Maaaan. If a dude knows "azneyes", "JarelProWinston", "Vexacus4666", or "KaibaCorpVirtualDuelingSystem" he's at least 32. Ancient YGO lore lmao
English

@Krojak_YGO stuff that is exclusively inspired by the same medium that it's in is like, self cannibalization and often is unwilling to tread any new ground in story or presentation. imo this is most often seen in games but you can RELLY tell when it happens in manga/comics
English

Consuming & getting influenced by too much or only manga is NOT good. It leads to tropes, boring inspos & a loss of Identity...Look at Yugioh, DBZ, OP, War of Adults or any "good story" manga.
They were good because they were inspired by their interests and hobbies outside manga

A glimpse into the workspace of Masterlynx, the Indian manga duo set to make their Japanese debut. You can really see how much manga they’ve devoured and how much they’ve practiced to get here. I'd love to visit their studio someday.

funniest part about this legendary tony hawk tweet is the fact that it was posted by a pro under night in-birth oomf who regularly uses the handle jack ingof

This still sends me 🤣 Happy 58th Birthday, Tony Hawk 🎊🎉🥳
English

@caramelpepsi @jen_tcg small nitpick but try to never announce you're moving toward battle. you say you're wanting to move to end of main. when priority passes back, you enter the phase of your choosing. this is when you say enter battle or enter end phase. this sounds small but matters a lot
English

@AriettaFrette @DistantCoder you have the best answer here and i hope it gets seen. pokemon, no matter the format, is a game where strong preparation rewards you immensely. and you described the start of that process really well. it's just frustrating before you know how, but can identify the pain points
English

@DistantCoder Minimize potential damage to yourself and make sure your team (selected party) is equipped to handle the problems in front of you, if Rock Slide flinching keeps killing you then maybe run something faster than Aero (TR?), maybe a Wide Guard, maybe even Rock Slide back at them.
English

@Coziniko @KongoBongoMax @no_dupes it very much was a noobtrap lol, you are absolutely right. during gen 4 I went from bottom 50 to just a couple points below top 75 when I quit (around latias unban), so I played all over the ladder. not one loss to vire even when I was one of the worst players. it's so bad :(
English

@zeroBackwards @KongoBongoMax @no_dupes It's the biggest noobtrap of the franchise. Zeraora is what Vire should have been. A fast mixed electric with good coverage and a strong and reliable STAB move. The buffs it got in Gen 9 practically telegraph that.
English

How does this prove that they were designing around a physical special split and not just sneasel being Shit
Cyrene (Fleechi)@Fleechiru
English

@Coziniko @KongoBongoMax @no_dupes genuinely one of the first things i was taught when learning gen 4 is that vire was ou but bad. idk how popularity kept up with it honestly. i straight up never lost a game to it
English

@KongoBongoMax @no_dupes To change things to worse. Electivire is a downgrade from Electabuzz. It's ironic how it got enough usage in it's debut generation to never drop from OU despite being the worst electric type of the tier.
English

@artic0de @zooratpier gadget had years before machina came out where they were good, generally falling in the tier 1 to 2 range. they +1 on summon and played a bunch of hard removal to force favorable card advantage to slowly grind out a win. gadget definitely counts tbh, one of early ygo's best
English

@zooratpier I never played gadgets so idk how it works but isn’t it really just a machina deck that uses gadgets? I prolly wouldn’t count that if so
English

@ReyBopnan @TrevorAllenMD gren maju is such a mecha love letter lol. as well as grendizer of course, it's appearance has a lot of getter robo too

@teeveeom @Gnurrgard this shit got knocked the fuck out of the fighting game scene before it took root and I am sincerely shocked that it has flown for this long within ygo. there's a lot of work and labbing that goes into these things, which is deeply respectable, but that is where it ends for me
English

@Gnurrgard my disdain for this spreadsheet stuff and monetisation of them immeasurable... i get why people try to monetize their hobby. i just think its very sad that knowledge is always kept behind closed doors...
if i were to ask you stuff about elfnotes would you want money in exchange?
