On April 10, 2026, the expanded ACP-EU Development Minerals Programme’s Country Working Group (CWG) advanced the development of a Roadmap for a National Critical Minerals Strategy. This high-level stakeholders’ dialogue explored governance, responsible investment for sustainable DVPT, & regional opportunities. It brought together key actors across sectors, including the Ministry of Mines🇨🇲, other GVT institutions, private sector actors, DVPT partners, UNDP, the EU Delegation 🇨🇲, & technical experts. including representatives from #AMDC & the Uganda Chamber of Mines.

Paul Tasong, President of the #PPRD-NW/SW Steering Committee and #MINDEL-MINEPAT, has commended #UNDP🇨🇲 for its strides as an implementing partner of the Plan during today’s coordination meeting in Douala, highlighting the progress achieved and the value of sustained collaboration. In his opening remarks, DRR @mharthansen reaffirmed #UNDP’s continued commitment to support the #Government of 🇨🇲 in implementing the #PPRD, strengthening delivery, and ensuring tangible impact for communities across the #NW/SW regions.

On the sidelines of the 14th #WTO Ministerial Conference, @UNDP🇨🇲 RR, Mathieu @Ciowela and strategic team had the honour of welcoming the #Dutch🇳🇱 Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation, Mr. Sjoerd Weimer Sjordsma, @ministerBHOS, alongside Ambassador Joris Jurriens and a high-level delegation, for a working visit. Discussions underscored the strong partnership with the #Netherlands🇳🇱, a key UNDP contributor, and focused on advancing #SustainableDevelopment priorities in #Cameroon🇨🇲, including the NDS30 and UNDP 2022–2026 and 2027–2031 programmes. Particular attention was given to #stabilization efforts, especially the considerable achievements in the #FarNorth under the Regional Stabilization Facility. A live exchange with farmers in Moro highlighted the resumption of economic and productive activities, as well as access to farms and technical services. The Minister commended the UNDP teams’ dedication and reaffirmed interest in strengthening collaboration to deliver lasting impact. #SDG17

#UNDP🇨🇲 joined the One @UN_Cameroon team, the Government🇨🇲, and key partners, to further preparations for the kickoff of Cameroon’s 4th General Population and Housing #Census, following the Prime Minister’s decree launching the exercise.
