Cell phones will be banned in classrooms across #Ontario beginning Monday morning. This ban is being implemented by @fordnation’s government in aims of ending classroom distractions.

The first few weeks of EM203, I have learned that social media has a strong influence on individuals. Ultimately, by engaging with others through different streams, it plays a big role in the development of one’s perception of society, and their cognitive thinking. #EM203Robin

@EM203thompson Technology is such an important part of how we learn in the 21st century and has so many benefits! What though do you see as the largest downfall of this increased level of connectivity in learning?

@EM203AndrewG Active engagement is such a large key to properly absorbing information. It took me some time to realize but the most efficient way for me to learn is hands-on, active, real-life situations.

So far in EM203, I've learned how the internet has influenced the way of how people learn new things and the differing types of multi-media. It was interesting to learn about constructivism as I have noticed that being actively engaged helps me learn. #EM203Robin

EM203 so far has put into perspective how the internet and the digital age has drastically changed learning. Topics which would have previously taken significantly longer to understand such as languages or educational concepts are easily available at our fingertips. #EM203Robin
