Walking back from picking up my new passport, I stumbled on what artists are calling "Art for Peace." 72 artists came together and painted a 35-metre mural in front of Wat Botum, depicting the border conflict in full. The emotions, the toll on livelihoods, the tension of fighting. You've got to hand it to the Khmer people. They've always been incredibly expressive and creative, and this exhibit is a perfect example. Kevin even made it onto the mural, with a special spot right near the containers with the Cambodian flag on his back. For those who don't know, he's a British citizen who's become well-known among Cambodians for speaking out about the conflict in a pretty bold way. Recently he grabbed a lot of attention after going up to Thmor Da and spray painting the word “ចោរ” (thief) on containers that Thai forces have placed inside Cambodian territory. Interestingly, "ចោរ" didn't seem to make the mural.

✍️🇰🇭 It is true that Thailand invaded deep into Cambodian soil. Cambodia stands on the spirit of peace and does not want war, so the world must condemn Thailand based on justice for the sake of general peace. #letexposethailand

Cambodia’s PM Hun Manet says Thailand is still occupying Cambodian territory despite a Trump-brokered ceasefire, calling the situation “fragile” and a “violation of our sovereignty.” In an interview in Washington, Hun Manet said: We still have Thai forces occupying deep into Cambodian territory in many areas. This is not an accusation but it’s a statement of the facts on the ground. NOTE: Thailand denies occupying territory, saying it is maintaining agreed troop positions. Source: Reuters

【Hun Manet’s First International Interview: Border, Ream, and the Board of Peace】 Cambodian PM Hun Manet sat down with Reuters from Washington ahead of tomorrow’s inaugural Board of Peace meeting. It’s his first interview with international media. He called the border ceasefire “fragile,” said Thai forces remain deep inside Cambodian territory, and urged Thailand to restart JBC demarcation work now that their February 8 election is over. “This is not an accusation, but it’s a statement of the facts on the ground.” He also addressed Ream naval base, rejecting the idea that Cambodia has anything to hide, and pushed back on the framing of choosing between the U.S. and China. “Each relationship with any country is not mutually exclusive. We are sovereign countries.“

Foreign ministry protest Thai activities in Banteay Meanchey province The protests aligned with reports from local authorities that additional civilian infrastructure and administrative buildings have been demolished at the Boeung Trakoun area, situated between boundary markers 33 and 36, in Thmar Puok district. In the heavily contested Chouk Chey village, in O Beichoan Commune, O Chrov district, between boundary markers 46 and 47, a new ditch has been dug and a new road constructed, while a pond was filled in, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. “These actions, which have altered the geographical terrain of the area, constitute a clear attempt to legitimise the unlawful occupation of Cambodian territory,” said a ministry statement. “They contravene the UN Charter, the ASEAN Charter and Item 1 of the Joint Statement of the 3rd Special General Border Committee Meeting of 27 December 2025 on de-escalation measures, as well as the Agreed Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand Joint Boundary Commission of 22 October 2025,” it added.
