Russian President Vladimir Putin repeated a series of false claims on June 23, alleging that a “coup d’état” in Ukraine brought an “anti-Russian regime” to power that targeted civilians in Donbas. Putin attempted to justify Russia’s full-scale invasion by claiming Moscow was “forced” to intervene to protect Russian speakers after Ukraine allegedly refused to comply with the Minsk agreements.

Ukrainian soldiers rescued a dog.
The dog was carried out in soldiers' arms from a settlement that has been almost completely destroyed by the war.
Vesta is now staying at a shelter in Kyiv. She is intelligent, people-oriented, and desperately needs a family of her own. Due to prolonged starvation, she is still cautious around food, but she is gradually recovering.
A loving home is now the one thing she needs most. ❤️

🔥🇺🇦 Zelensky: Ordered our intelligence and army to work ahead of schedule on those objects that the Russians are using to scale up the war.
Now the Russian leadership is pulling more air defenses to Moscow, to Valdai, and to Putin's bridge across the Kerch Strait - at the expense of air defenses in other directions.
They have pulled hundreds of launchers for the S-400, S-500, and Pantsir systems to the Moscow region alone.
Almost 90 air defense launchers have been pulled to Valdai from other regions of Russia, and a special air defense division is still being formed there to protect the peace of the Russian leadership.
For comparison: in all other directions in Russia, in their other cities, there are now several launchers. Such are the priorities.
Already in more than 60 Russian regions there is a shortage of fuel, there is also a sharp increase in the price of gasoline, diesel fuel, if they are available, of course.
Russian special services are even proposing to postpone or even cancel the ritual of electing United Russia to the State Duma: their next mock election was scheduled for September, and now we see from intelligence reports that Russia is not confident in the processes for September.
Many difficulties, and only because Putin refuses to end his war and does not hear our proposals for a meeting, proposals for real negotiations and a decent peace.

A russian soldier called “Grom” raped Alisa Kovalenko for four days.
Before that, they beat her. They threatened to cut off her fingers and her teeth. They promised they would get to her parents, and to her boyfriend.
She was 27 – a documentary filmmaker who had come to Donetsk Oblast to film the beginning of Russia’s war.
A taxi driver turned her in.
Her partner, the French producer Stéphane Siohan, raised the alarm in the media. The public attention saved her. She was released. She carried what happened alone for more than a year before she could say it out loud – and then became one of the first women in Ukraine to say it anyway.
Russia expected that to break her.
In 2022, when they came back for the rest of the country, Kovalenko first got the heroes of her unfinished film to safety. Then she volunteered for the front – a mother of a small son, serving as an assault infantry soldier.
She put it as simply as it can be put:
“When you see even one form of Russian evil, you understand that it must be stopped at any cost.”
They wanted a victim. They got a soldier.
